  • Publication number: 20080217428
Abstract: A pressurizing piston has a head section, which contacts an axial end face of a piezoelectric actuator to receive displacement of the actuator, and a piston wall section, which is formed in a cylindrical shape and can move in an axial direction in response to the movement of the head section. The head section and the piston wall section are combined such that relative displacement therebetween is possible in a radial direction. An outer sleeve slidably holding an outer periphery of the piston wall section restricts radial movement of the head section. When an expansion-contraction direction of the actuator inclines with respect to the axial direction, inclination of the piston wall section is inhibited by a radial deviation caused between the head section and the piston wall section. Thus, pinching of the piston wall section to the outer sleeve is inhibited.

  • Patent number: 7381928
Abstract: A light source including a plurality of flash lamps emits flashes thereby flash-heating a semiconductor wafer held by a thermal diffuser and a hot plate. The current distance of irradiation between the thermal diffuser and the hot plate holding the semiconductor wafer and the light source is so adjusted as to attain predetermined intensity of irradiation. The distance of irradiation between the thermal diffuser and the hot plate and the light source can be changed or corrected by vertically moving the thermal diffuser and the hot plate. The thermal processing apparatus which uses the flash lamps, is thus capable of readily controlling the intensity of irradiation.

  • Publication number: 20080018822
Abstract: A display device has a flat box-shaped cabinet that is open in the upper face. The cabinet accommodates a liquid crystal display panel and holds it in place. The inside of the cabinet is divided into two areas. Of these two areas, one is an area in which a first circuit board, the fitting of which is compulsory, is fitted, and the other is an area in which a second circuit board, the fitting of which is optional, is fitted. On a rear lid of the liquid crystal display panel, synthetic resin fitting bases are formed, and hooks are formed thereon in the boundary between the two areas. When the second circuit board is not fitted, the hooks are used for attaching a small shield cover that covers the first circuit board, and, when the second circuit board is fitted, they are used for locking the second circuit board in place and preventing it from coming out of position.
