  • Patent number: 6342093
Abstract: An air drier arrangement including an air compressor (1), an air-drier (3) and air conduits (2, 4). In order to obtain favorable working conditions for the arrangement under different temperatures there is a switch-over valve (6) in a separate signal air pipe (5) from the air drier to the compressor. This valve is operable between a first position, giving a governor mode for the arrangement, and a second position, giving an unloader mode for the arrangement. The operations of the valve may be governed by a thermostat (9).

  • Patent number: 5723601
Abstract: Porous material of a polysaccharide and a method for preparations of such a material, wherein a water-based solution of the polysaccharide is mixed, with controlled stirring, with an essentially water-immiscible organic phase to form an emulsion, which when allowed to solidify, just before or during the gelling process, forms a network of two continuous phases, an aqueous polysaccharide phase and a flow-pore-forming organic phase, resulting in a material with two types of pores: small diameter diffusion pores and large diameter flow through pores.

  • Patent number: 5627643
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method Of detecting and quantifying components separated by capillary electrophoresis or other techniques using thin capillaries in the separation. The method of the present invention comprises irradiating the whole or large parts of the capillary at short time intervals and detecting the fluorescence originating from the sample components, preferably by a CCD detector (charge coupled device). Thereby, an instantaneous image of the progress of the separation process is obtained. The present invention further comprises an apparatus for performing this detection.

  • Patent number: 4971833
Abstract: Methods for coating hydrophilic gels onto the surface of solid particles are disclosed which include utilizing hydrophilic solid particles, intimately admixing these hydrophilic solid particles with a hydrophilic gel-forming substance at a temperature above the gelling temperature so as to coat the solid hydrophilic particles, and then separating these coated particles from each other and cooling them to a temperature below the gelling temperature. The use of these coated particles is also disclosed in connection with various separation processes, such as an ion exchanger, in those cases where the gel-forming substance contains charged groups, or providing the particles with suitable adsorbent groups.
