  • Publication number: 20090212851
Abstract: High-accuracy overcurrent detection is performed, while a loss resulting from the current detection is significantly reduced. A switch section outputs the voltage between the both terminals of a current detection resistor using an AND signal between an output signal from a hysteresis comparator and an output signal from a pre-driver. The voltage is filtered by an electrostatic capacitor element and a resistor, and inputted to a comparator. The comparator makes a comparison between the signals inputted to the two input terminals thereof, and outputs the result of the comparison to a digital filter. When an overcurrent begins to flow in a power supply unit, the levels of the voltages inputted to the two input terminals of the comparator are inverted so that the comparator outputs an inversion signal to the digital filter. The digital filter outputs a detection signal to an overcurrent detection circuit when an arbitrary time has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 7492132
Abstract: The present invention provides a switching regulator having good stability compatible with a good response and an enhanced protection function. A first capacitor is placed between an output end of an inductor to generate an output voltage and a ground potential. From input voltage, a current is supplied to the inductor's input end by a first switch element. A first feedback path includes a hysteretic comparator. An output voltage added to a voltage proportional to the current flowing through the inductor is supplied to the hysteretic comparator which discriminates whether the voltage is appropriate by hysteresis characteristics and generates a PWM control signal in accordance with an output current variation. Moreover, a second feedback path is provided to feed back an error amplifier output voltage with greater gain in a low frequency domain and an attenuation loop around a PWM frequency band to the comparator's reference voltage input terminal.

  • Patent number: 7285338
Abstract: An anisotropic thin-film rare-earth permanent magnet endowed with high magnetic characteristics by rendering a vapor-phase-grown thin film anisotropic in the layering direction. The atomic laminate units are formed by laminating a monoatomic layer of a rare earth element on a substrate of a non-magnetic material having, a flat smoothness and then by laminating an atomic laminate of a transition metal element having a plurality of monoatomic layers of a transition metal element, so that the atomic laminate units of a characteristic construction are laminated in a plurality of layers. As a result, each atomic laminate of the transition metal element has an easy magnetizable axis in the laminate direction of the monoatomic layers and which are sandwiched between a monoatomic layer of a rare-earth element so that an inverse magnetic domain is suppressed to establish a strong coercive force.

  • Publication number: 20070084541
Abstract: There is provided an inspection method for inspecting an object built on a tire building drum to make up a pneumatic tire with respect to profile thereof in process of production of the tire includes, in which data with respect to a profile of the object for a single rotation of the tire building drum is acquired by a two-dimension laser sensor having a detection range along a lateral direction of the object while rotating the drum. Then, using the data so acquired, a radial run-out (RRO) in a circumferential direction of the tire is averaged out in a lateral direction of the object for harmonic analysis, and whether or not the magnitude of the harmonic obtained as a result of the analysis falls within a predetermined range is determined.

  • Publication number: 20060154670
Abstract: When moving from a public wireless area to a local wireless area, a mobile communication terminal transmits its telephone number to a local wireless service authentication server to inquire whether the mobile communication terminal can receive a local wireless service. The local wireless service authentication server, in response to the inquiry, determines whether the telephone number of the mobile communication terminal itself is registered in a local telephone number storage unit. When the number is registered therein, a transmission power level reduction instruction signal is transmitted to the mobile communication terminal. The mobile communication terminal, in response to the reception of the signal, controls the wireless unit to reduce output level of the transmission power in a wireless unit to a level that it can be received by a local base station while it cannot be received by a public base station. This enables restricting communication that uses public wireless network.
