Abstract: A video sharing system is described to annotate and navigate tourist videos. An example video sharing system enables non-linear browsing of multiple videos and enriches the browsing experience with contextual and geographic information.

Abstract: A wireless sensor network and data sensing method thereof are provided. A prediction model is established according to sensed data. When statistical value of the sensed data is within a user allowable range, the average value of the sensed data is returned to a user based on the prediction model. Alternatively, when the statistical value of the sensed data is beyond the user allowable range, actually sensed data is returned to the user based on the prediction model. In addition, the prediction model may further be dynamically updated according to subsequently received sensed data.

Abstract: A terminal assembly is provided for accommodating stripped wires and ring lugs. The assembly includes a fastener and clamp plate, the fastener being secured to a base by threaded engagement. A wire to be terminated may be inserted through an access window and secured between the clamp plate and base, with the threaded fastener serving to urge the clamp plate downwardly on the wire. For terminating ring lugs, the fastener may be raised to upper position where it is retained by elastic deformation of retaining elements within the assembly housing. Once the ring lug is inserted the fastener and clamp plate may be released and the termination completed.

Abstract: A method is provided for repairing a turbine nozzle assembly with an insert and a support structure. The method includes positioning the insert on the support structure of the turbine nozzle assembly; and plug welding the insert to the support structure of the turbine nozzle assembly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for treating hepatitis virus infection comprising administering to a subject infected with a hepatitis virus an effective amount of a yolk or yolk antibody obtained from an egg of a fowl which has been immunized using Helicobacter pylori as an antigen. In particular, the method is effective in reducing virus titer and/or decreasing a level of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) or glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT) in the subject. Also provided is a composition for treating hepatitis virus infection which comprises the yolk or yolk antibody in combination with one or more supplemental ingredients such as Salviae Miltiorrhiza Radix, Oldennlandiae Hb., Zingiberis Radix, Ginseng Radix, Atractylodis Radix, Curcumae Radix, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, bee propolis, calcium lactate, soy proteins, probiotics, and grain bran.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for modulating immune response in a subject, which comprises administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising a yolk or yolk antibody obtained from an egg of a fowl which has been immunized using Helicobacter pylori as an antigen. In particular, the method of the invention is effective in enhancing production of IFN-? and suppressing production of IL-4 and IL-5 in a subject. Abstract: A vaneless compressor containment design has an inner bolt circle with more than three fasteners situated in the vaneless space to cut up tri-hub pieces to smaller pieces prior to reaching an outer bolt circle and its associated flange. This containment design may allow a thinner radial wall thickness for the outermost flange as compared to the conventional design. The thinner radial wall thickness may reduce the weight of the compressor. This weight reduction may be achieved with little or no increase in the compressor space envelope.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided methods and systems for augmenting image data (e.g., still image data or video image data) utilizing image context data to generate panoramic images. In accordance with embodiments hereof, a position and orientation of received image data is utilized to identify image context data (e.g., three-dimensional model data, two-dimensional image data, and/or 360° image data from another source) rendered based upon the same position or a nearby position relative to the image data and the image data is augmented utilizing the identified context data to create a panoramic image. The panoramic image may then be displayed (e.g., shown on a LCD/CRT screen or projected) to create a user experience that is more immersive than the original image data could create.

Abstract: A system for converting an analog signal to a digital signal may include a plurality of converter stages. One of the converter stages may include a multiplying digital-to-analog converter (MDAC) and an analog-to-digital subconverter (ADSC). The MDAC may be configured to (i) receive from a previous stage a first residue analog signal and a first idealized digital signal representing a first portion of the digital signal and corresponding to the first residue analog signal; (ii) convert the first idealized digital signal to an idealized analog signal; and (iii) output a second residue analog signal based on the difference between the first residue analog signal and the idealized analog signal. The ADSC may be configured to convert the second residue analog signal into a second idealized digital signal representing a second portion of the digital signal and corresponding to the second residue analog signal, the ADSC comprising a sloping analog-to-digital converter.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are provided for displaying an image using a multi-directional image displaying device in a compact, configurable device having an expansive viewing angle. An image projector projects an image having a plurality of image pixels. A distribution object is aligned with the image projector. The distribution object is utilized to redirect the image pixels projected by the image projector onto one or more display surfaces. As such, in one embodiment, a wide view display of the first image that expands at least the width of a user field of view results from the spreading of the image pixels. A compact housing unit provides support for the image projector and the distribution object. In one embodiment, the multi-directional image displaying device can be adjusted to change the wide view display of the image.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel substituted aminotetrahydropyrans of structural formula I which are inhibitors of the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme and which are useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved, such as diabetes and particularly Type 2 diabetes. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and the use of these compounds and compositions in the prevention or treatment of such diseases in which the dipeptidyl peptidase-IV enzyme is involved.

The passage obstructer includes a fastener portion, such as a bolt, and an obstructing portion extending from and integral to a shaft of the fastener portion. The diameter of the obstructing portion is less than the diameter of the shaft, allowing the obstructing portion to bend upon impact with a burst impeller fragment.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide a global approach for computing transitions between captured runs through an intersection. In accordance with one or more embodiments, a transition algorithm receives as input various runs that have been captured through an intersection and an input path through the intersection. The transition algorithm processes its inputs and provides, as an output, a set of points and data such as a direction associated with each of the points. The set of points includes points from different captured runs. The output set of points and associated data indicate which images to obtain from a database and which field of view to create a simulated turn for the user.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide techniques for scrubbing variable paths in content. By way of example and not limitation, scrubbing can include receiving user input that defines a scrub path and navigating a data path through content based on the scrub path. According to some embodiments, a data path can include one or more predefined paths (e.g., a travel route) through the content. One or more of the techniques can account for variations in a data path and provide ways of maintaining adjacency between a scrub path and navigation along the data path. In some embodiments, a data path can be associated with one or more types of data path content that can be presented in response to a navigation of the data path.

Abstract: The present invention includes compositions including a novel short isoform of Annexin A10, termed Annexin 10s (ANXA10s) and methods of use. The compositions include nucleic acid molecules encoding ANXA10s, ANXA10s polypeptides, ANXA10s amino acid sequences and derivatives or modifications thereof. Included in these methods are the interrelation of the aberrant expressions of AFP, OPN, and the novel liver specific short isoform, ANXA10s, at human Chromosome 4q in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The aberrant expressions of AFP, OPN and ANXA10s are shown to act cooperatively toward advanced disease, which could be useful for diagnostic, molecular staging or treatment of a patient having HCC or at risk of developing HCC.
