  • Patent number: 9644087
Abstract: Barrier films are prepared from a blend of two high density polyethylene blend components and a high performance organic nucleating agent. The two high density polyethylene blend components have substantially different melt indices. Large reductions in the moisture vapor transmission rate of the film are observed in the presence of the nucleating agent when the melt indices of the two blend components have a ratio of greater than 10/1. The resulting barrier films are suitable for the preparation of packaging for dry foods such as crackers and breakfast cereals.

  • Publication number: 20170124620
Abstract: A system that evaluates Boolean expressions receives a first set of Boolean expressions that include one or more Boolean expressions, and receives a second set of Boolean expressions that includes one or more Boolean expressions. The system determines one or more overlapping Boolean expressions between the first set and the second set. Each Boolean expression has a corresponding identifier and priority, and two or more Boolean expressions overlap when the Boolean expressions have an identical identifier. Each set of Boolean expressions includes a corresponding index.

  • Patent number: 9540222
Abstract: A tool-less adjustable torque setting assembly for a bottle capping headset wherein there is a witness mark and a push button. The operator pushes in the button and a tooth on the button's inside surface of the housing disengages with the inside wall of the housing where there are a series of mating teeth. The assembly is rotated to the desired setting and released. The button, which is spring loaded, will return to the seated position in the series of teeth within the housing. No tools are required to adjust the torque setting.

  • Publication number: 20160380693
Abstract: In some embodiments, a disclosed method involves receiving, by a source gateway, a call request from a source user terminal for establishing a call with a destination user terminal. The method further involves determining, by a source client proxy of the source gateway, a capability related to a parameter(s) of the source user terminal and a capability related to a parameter(s) of the destination user terminal. Also, the method involves sending, by the source client proxy, a call capability offer to a destination gateway based on the determined capabilities. Additionally, the method involves determining, by a destination client proxy of the destination gateway, whether the destination user terminal can support the call capability offer. Also, the method involves sending, by the destination client proxy, a call initiation message to the destination user terminal, when the destination client proxy determines that the destination user terminal can support the call capability offer.

  • Publication number: 20160366050
Abstract: A method, operable by a service registry in a service orientated architecture system, for providing a service within the system. A service request is received from a service requester in the system. The status of the service is checked as registered in the service registry. In response to the service not having a registered service endpoint or a property of the service falling below a defined threshold, a request is sent to service providers or subsequent service registries to provide a new service and according to the defined threshold. In response to a service provider providing the new service according to the defined standard, the service registry is updated with the new service and responding to the service requester that the service is available. The embodiments allow both direct interaction between the requester and provider or indirect interaction via a service management layer.

  • Publication number: 20160333994
Abstract: An apparatus and methods are disclosed for retrofitting a manual benchtop milling machine utilizing servo controls and/or stepper motors. The present disclosure provides a retrofit kit for the modification of a milling machine by incorporating ball screws and ball nuts without removing or replacing the original acme nuts, which inherently have been properly configured and aligned to the machine on which they were originally installed. The retrofit kit of the present disclosure allows for the modification using the alignment of the original acme nuts in their proper location and alignment obviating the need for custom machining or alignment.
