In one embodiment, another of the SIB instances comprises SIB content for two or more of the second cells. In another embodiment, another of the SIB instances comprises SIB content for one or more of the second cells, which is subsequently compressed before being provided to the wireless device. Each SIB instance is then provided to a wireless device via a corresponding downlink communication channel.

The method further comprises interpreting the DCI message in accordance with the DCI formatting indicator. In an example method, first and second subsets of Layer 2 messages are received on first and second physical data channels, respectively. Decoding-related information for unsuccessfully decoded messages in the first subset is retained for use with subsequent retransmissions, while decoding-related information for unsuccessfully decoded messages in the second subset is discarded without waiting for retransmissions. Acknowledgements or negative acknowledgements are sent for messages in the first subset, but may or may not be sent for messages in the second subset, in various embodiments.
