  • Publication number: 20040151411
Abstract: A swivel bearing includes a base for connecting to a first member and a swivel gear for connecting to a second member to be turned relative to the first member. The base is provided on a top with a substantially ring-shaped receiving seat, into which the swivel gear is rotatably mounted. A threaded hole is provided on a predetermined position on the receiving seat for a screwing element to screw thereinto and set the receiving seat to a desired tightness relative to the swivel gear mounted therein. Thus, the second member may be turned to locate at a desired angular position relative to the first member.

  • Publication number: 20040143935
Abstract: A pivot bearing mechanism includes a main body and a pivot shaft. The main body is fixedly mounted on a first member, and is provided on a top thereof with an axially extended slit and near the top with an internally threaded hole transversely extended through the slit, such that a screwing element can be tightened into the threaded hole to narrow the slit. The pivot shaft has a first end rotatably supported on the main body and a second end fixedly connected to a second member. By tightening the screwing element into the threaded hole by different degrees, the slit is forced to narrow or widen to allow adjustment of a tightness of contact between the main body and the pivot shaft, allowing the pivot shaft to bring the second member to rotate and locate at a desired position, relative to the first member.

  • Publication number: 20040030936
Abstract: A notebook computer having a temperature adjustment function for a microprocessor includes a clock generator, a thermal sensor, an I/O controller, a bus switch, and a voltage regulator. The thermal sensor and the I/O controller are connected between the microprocessor and the clock generator. The bus switch is connected between the microprocessor and the I/O controller and with the voltage regulator. When the surface temperature of the microprocessor exceeds a predetermined temperature, the system BIOS will immediately issue a command to the I/O controller to automatically lower the external clock and the power source voltage level of the microprocessor. Thereby, the power consumption of the microprocessor can be reduced to lower the surface temperature.

  • Patent number: 6663288
Abstract: A bearing structure includes a pivot shaft and an elastomer for connecting to a pivot device formed from a first and a second connection member. The pivot shaft includes a connecting portion pivotally connected to the first connection member, an eccentric middle portion, and a bearing portion fixedly connected to the second connection member. The elastomer is mounted on the first connection member to contact with the eccentric middle portion of the pivot shaft, such that a tightness of contact between the elastomer and the eccentric middle portion is adjustable via an adjusting screw to locate the first and second connection members in place after they have been turned relative to each other. An elastic element is held between the pivot shaft and the first connection member to adjust a torsional force of the pivot device when the second connection member is turned relative to the first connection member.

  • Patent number: 6116806
Abstract: A connection tightness and swing angle adjustable pivot includes a rotary shaft, a stationary shaft having a slit end rotatably received in an end of the rotary shaft, and an adjusting bolt. The adjusting bolt is screwed into the slit end of the stationary shaft with a head portion located in the rotary shaft but accessible with a hand tool via openings formed on the rotary shaft. The adjusting bolt has a tapered portion contacting with another tapered surface around inner wall of the stationary shaft. When the adjusting bolt is turned at the head portion via the openings on the rotary shaft so that it is screwed further into the stationary shaft, its tapered surface tightly presses against the tapered surface in the stationary shaft to expand the slit end of the stationary shaft, so that the stationary shaft more tightly contacts with inner wall of the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 5872205
Abstract: The present invention provides a method enabling segregation of the various ingredients making up the polymer based products into component product streams and collection of these component streams so as to form individual product streams. Thus, according to this invention there is provided a process for purposefully segregating polymer-polymer and polymer-additive mixtures. The process for segregating the various combinations of components may be advantageously used on the one hand for the production of separate product streams from a mixture of polymers or polymer-additives in, for example, recycling of waste plastic based products, or on the other hand, in the production of polymer-polymer or polymer-additive layered structures exhibiting preselected spatial segregation of the various components. In its simplest form, the polymer segregation part of the process consists of a tube added to an extruder. During segregation, polymer layers containing different blend compositions are formed.
