  • Patent number: 10896118
Abstract: Verifying architectural compliance of a processor core using processor-sparing functions. A simulation of a model for a register-transfer level design of the processor core is performed. A first state of the model is dumped, when no error exists. An error is injected in the model. A second state of the model is dumped, after the injected error is detected in the simulation. Upon dumping the second state, the model is reset and initialized with the first state. State information of the second state is loaded in the reset and initialized model.

  • Patent number: 10887672
Abstract: Method and apparatus for detecting a pattern used by an encoder when outputting segments for HTTP streaming. A pattern detector receives, as part of a HTTP streaming protocol, a sequence of video segments and a sequence of audio segments forming at least a portion of a media presentation. The pattern detector identifies a duration of the video segments and then sums the durations of the sequence of audio segments until the summed duration is an integer multiple of the duration of the video segments. The pattern detector determines the number of the audio segments used to form the summed duration which includes the number of audio segments forming a cycle of the pattern. This pattern is then added to a manifest of the media presentation along with a repeat indicator defining the number of times the pattern is repeated.

  • Publication number: 20200387640
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may determine, based on sensor data, that the computing device is in a public environment. In response, the computing device may display an entry wheel to enable a user to enter a password. The entry wheel may include multiple input symbols arranged equidistant around a circle. In some cases, one or more geometric patterns linking a portion of the input symbols may be displayed. After receiving an individual character of the password, the computing device may display the entry wheel rotated a number of positions in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction and display zero or more of the geometric patterns. After all the characters of the password have been received, the computing device may determine if the password matches a previously stored password. If the password matches, the computing device may transition from a low power state to an active state.

  • Patent number: 10855523
Abstract: A component tracking system includes a plurality of devices that each include a device component monitoring subsystem that monitors for and records the addition and/or removal of device components to/from that device. A device component manager system that is coupled to each of the plurality of devices identifies, via a recording by a first device monitoring subsystem in a first device included in the plurality of devices, the removal of a first device component from the first device. The device component manager system then determines, via a recording by a second device component monitoring subsystem in a second device included in the plurality of devices, that the first device component has been added to the second device within a time period and, in response, the device component manager device prevents a removed first device component alarm.

  • Patent number: 10835454
Abstract: A composition is provided, wherein the composition comprises a water-swellable, water-insoluble polymer, a blend of a hydrophilic polymer with a complementary oligomer capable of hydrogen or electrostatic bonding to the hydrophilic polymer. The composition also includes a backing member. Active ingredients, such as a whitening agent, may be included. The composition finds utility as an oral dressing, for example, a tooth whitening composition that is applied to the teeth in need of whitening. The composition can be designed to be removed when the degree of whitening has been achieved or left in place and allowed to erode entirely. In certain embodiments, the composition is translucent. Methods for preparing and using the compositions are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10805703
Abstract: A headphone may include two transducers, two cushions, one or more sensors, and an external microphone to measure an amount of noise in the external environment. The headphone may include a voice microphone to enable a user to participate in a call. Each cushion may have an associated motor to adjust a size of each cushion. A circuit located in the headphone may include a processor to receive sensor data from the sensors. The sensor data may be analyzed using machine learning to determine an activity in which the user is engaged and a location in which the headphones are located. The processor automatically adjusts aural characteristics of the headphone, including a size of each cushion, based at least in part on the activity, the location, the amount of noise present, a type of signal being sent to the transducers, and whether the user is participating in a call.

  • Publication number: 20200278910
Abstract: An information management cell health monitoring system is provided herein that can monitor one or more information management systems, identify any performance issues that are occurring within an information management system, and automatically, or in response to a user input, transmit an instruction to the information management system to execute a workflow to resolve the performance issue(s). For example, the information management cell health monitoring system receives operational data, secondary copy policies, and/or similar data from an information management cells via a network. The information management cell health monitoring system analyzes the received information to identify any issues. If an issue is detected, the information management cell health monitoring system retrieves workflows and determines whether any of the workflows can be used to resolve the detected issue.

  • Patent number: 10733199
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for increasing the efficiency of data conversion in a coprocessor by using the statistical occurrence of data patterns to convert frequently occurring data patterns in one conversion cycle. In one embodiment, a coprocessor system is disclosed containing a converter engine, which includes a parser and a converter, an input buffer, and a result store. The input buffer is configured to transfer a set of source data to the converter engine, which converts the source data from first code format to a second code format, and sends the converted source data to the result store.

  • Publication number: 20200245055
Abstract: For example, a headphone includes a headband, a first housing with a first cushion and a first size selector, and a second housing with a second cushion and a second size selector. A linkage connects the first size selector to the second size selector. If the linkage is engaged, moving the first size selector in a first direction causes the first cushion and the second cushion to simultaneously increase from a first size to a second size. Moving the first size selector in a second direction causes the first cushion and the second cushion to simultaneously decrease from the second size to the first size. In the first size, the first and second cushion have supra-aural properties. In the second size, the first and the second cushion have circum-aural properties. If the linkage is disengaged, a size of the first cushion and the second cushion may be independently adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20200186848
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for making broadcast content available as an on-demand asset soon after all of the video fragments of the broadcast content have been made available. As the video fragments of the broadcast content are made available, they are requested and archived. When all of the fragments for the duration of the broadcast content are available (e.g., a live event ends), a VOD-style manifest is generated and the archived fragments are made available for downloading or streaming using the VOD-style manifest.
