  • Patent number: 9858128
Abstract: Embodiments include a method for verifying a counter design within a tolerance window within which a race condition occurs between a context event and a design event. The method includes receiving a plurality of events within the counter design, the plurality of events including the context event and the design event. The method also includes dynamically determining the tolerance window around the context event by setting a first portion of the tolerance window to precede an occurrence of the context event and by setting a second portion of the tolerance window to follow the context event. Additionally, the method includes performing a verification of whether the design event is within the first portion of the tolerance window or the second portion of the tolerance window.

  • Publication number: 20170361079
Abstract: An applicator for a microprojection array is described. In one embodiment, the applicator comprises an energy-storing element. Application of force causes the compressed energy-storing element to extend or transition from first and second configurations, releasing stored energy to deploy a holding member in the application which is configured to hold an array of microprojections. In another embodiment, the applicator comprises an energy storing element with two stable configurations, a first stable configuration and second stable configuration. Application of force causes the energy-storing element to transition from the higher energy first stable configuration to the lower energy second stable configuration, releasing the difference in energies of the two states to deploy a holding member in the application which is configured to hold an array of microprojections.

  • Publication number: 20170234776
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to method and device for determining performance of an intermittently used refrigerator. Performance measuring device receives time stamped temperature data from temperature sensor configured in the intermittently used refrigerator. The received time stamped temperature data is used to determine values for each of one or more predefined parameters associated with the intermittently used refrigerator. The performance measuring device determines temperature variation of the intermittently used refrigerator at predefined time intervals. Based on the determined temperature variation, additional service windows in a site comprising the intermittently used refrigerator are identified i.e. the intensity of sales in the site are identified. The determined values of each of the one or more predefined parameters and the determined temperature variation, helps in determining the performance of intermittently used refrigerator.

  • Patent number: 9727395
Abstract: Embodiments include a method, system, and computer program product for verifying a counter design. A method includes receiving a plurality of events within the counter design. The plurality of events can include a context event and a design event. The method also includes determining a tolerance window in response to the receiving of the context. The tolerance window is defined around the context event and includes a first portion before an occurrence of the context event and a second portion after the context event. The method further includes performing a verification algorithm to identify whether the design event is within the tolerance window and should be accounted for by a design model counter of the counter design.

  • Publication number: 20170213040
Abstract: The disclosed principles describe systems and methods for assessing the security posture of a target device, wherein the assessment is performed by a scanning computer in communication with the target device via a communication network. By employing a system or method in accordance with the disclosed principles, distinct advantages are achieved. Specifically, conducting such a remote scan allows for the scanner computer to perform a remote scan of the remote device without installing client software to the remote device. Thus, the disclosed principles reduce the need for internal IT resources to manage the deployment and updates of client software on the target device. Also, conducting a remote scan according to the disclosed principles allows for the remote scan to be performed even if the scanner computer and remote device run different operating systems.

  • Publication number: 20170207623
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for indicating energy savings for a distributed site. The energy savings is indicated by an energy management system, which receives energy consumption data of the distributed site for a first observation period. Further one or more service windows are defined for the distributed site and an energy saving strategy is applied to at least one service window. Further, the energy consumption data for the second observation period is received and a compared of one or more service windows of the first observation period with the corresponding service windows of the second observation period is done. The energy management system further determines adjustment factors in the energy profiles based on parameters affecting the energy profiles which were not considered during the first observation period and hence indicate the energy savings for the distributed site based on the first saving and adjustment factor.

  • Publication number: 20170197723
Abstract: In one example embodiment, a strut for mounting a jet engine to a wing of an aircraft includes a plurality of engine mounts and a space frame truss supported from the wing and comprising front and aft portions, the front portion being coupled to and supporting the engine mounts, the aft portion extending upwardly and rearwardly from an aft end of the front portion. By removing the aft end of the strut from the core exhaust zone of the engine, substantial reductions in the weight and drag of the strut, and a corresponding increase in the specific fuel consumption of the associated aircraft may be achieved.
