  • Patent number: 10250708
Abstract: A high-performance distributed ledger and transaction computing network fabric over which large numbers of transactions (involving the transformation, conversion or transfer of information or value) are processed concurrently in a scalable, reliable, secure and efficient manner. In one embodiment, the computing network fabric or “core” is configured to support a distributed blockchain network that organizes data in a manner that allows communication, processing and storage of blocks of the chain to be performed concurrently, with little synchronization, at very high performance and low latency, even when the transactions themselves originate from distant sources. This data organization relies on segmenting a transaction space within autonomous but cooperating computing nodes that are configured as a processing mesh. Each computing node typically is functionally-equivalent to all other nodes in the core.

  • Patent number: 10070345
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a dual network access point capable of establishing a home wireless network and a further secondary wireless network for a number of wireless devices. The first wireless network is a private home WLAN while the second wireless network is a guest network or a hotspot network. To prevent secondary network users impacting the performance of the first network, the access point monitors the devices connected to the first network and adjusts the advertised minimum supportable rate on the second network.

  • Patent number: 9987551
Abstract: A multi-surfaced gear-based mechanical puzzle where the objective is to choose the proper sized gear and position on the surface(s) from available holes to have the gears align and rotate in unison on one or multiple surfaces, flat or curved, from a dictated start point to a dictated finish point. Challenges such as going from “a” point to “c” point directly or additionally through way point “c” are outlined in an accompanying instruction booklet. Additionally, challenges may be presented as using a specific number or specific size of gears, for example, to achieve the objective. In achieving the right combination of gear sizes and positions, the objective of going from one start point to a finish point by turning one gear to cause all other gears in the train to turn in unison can be accomplished. The puzzle and components may be made from wood, plastic, metal or a composite material.

  • Patent number: 9961016
Abstract: In a Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIP) network, a mobile node can roam between different access networks while maintaining a consistent IP address for session continuity. To provide access to a user's home LAN resources, even when the user's mobile node is not directly attached to the home LAN, a local mobility anchor and mobility access gateway are configured to authenticate the mobile node credentials and if authorized, to provide access to the user's LAN resources by via data tunnels and routing table reconfigurations.

  • Patent number: 9912673
Abstract: In a hotspot Wi-Fi network, users can access the Internet from a variety of access points. The users' credentials are centrally authenticated within the network core to ensure they are allowed on the hotspot network. To improve security and provide selective access, a further authenticator function in the network manages access to private and/or restricted network resources.

  • Patent number: 9853899
Abstract: Embodiments provide a traffic control system for WLAN access points. The traffic control system works in dependence on a first input-user priority (supplied by an authentication server). This allows different service levels to be provided to different classes of customer. In addition, the traffic control system polices and/or shapes traffic based on a second input—a modulation rate detector, which measures the modulation rate at which each connected client is sending its traffic, and uses it to indirectly cause fairer use of the available air interface capacity (e.g. by causing TCP streams to back off when they detect packet loss). Finally, for some embodiments where public Wi-Fi is being delivered through private Wi-Fi access points, the traffic control system is to manage the air interface utilization split between public and private WiFi users, to ensure that private users do not have their Wi-Fi air interface network capacity unduly impaired by public users.
