  • Publication number: 20230039658
Abstract: This document discloses system, method, and computer program product embodiments for operating an autonomous vehicle (AV). For example, the method includes performing the following operations by a muxing tool when AV is deployed within a particular geographic area in a real-world environment: receiving perception data that is representative of at least one actual object which is perceived while AV is deployed within the particular geographic area in a real-world environment; receiving simulation data that represents a simulated object that could be perceived by AV in the real-world environment and that was generated using a simulation scenario which is selected from a plurality of simulation scenarios based on at least one of the particular geographic area in which AV is currently located and a current operational state of AV; and generating augmented perception data by combining the simulation data with the perception data.

  • Patent number: 11546278
Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure pertain to management over the type of notification that is generated and presented to a user relative to an occurrence of a message notification. Processing is executed that evaluates a relevance of a content update to content that is already presented to a user through host application/service endpoints. This helps determine how to present a graphical user interface (GUI) notification as well as link that GUI notification to existing communications that are identified as contextually relevant. Trained artificial intelligence modeling is applied that executes relevance analysis to aid generation of a GUI notification.

  • Publication number: 20220400613
Abstract: An adjusting device 1 of a cutting device has a mounting element 3 which is provided with a first through bore 7 through which a first shaft 9 projects. This first shaft 9 is provided at one end 9a with a rotary adjusting knob 13 and is provided with a second bore 15 which extends over the entire length of the first shaft 9 and is provided with internal screw thread over its entire length. The adjusting device 1 furthermore has an elongate coupling element 19 which can be connected to a device part to be adjusted. This coupling element 19 is provided with a second shaft 21 with an external screw thread, which is turned into the first shaft 9. When the adjusting knob 13 is turned, the second shaft 21 is displaced in the longitudinal direction. • Patent number: 11531991
Abstract: A user authorization device (or UAD) physically connected to a user's router to aid in the authentication of the user. A bank server polls the user's router to verify that the UAD is connected to the router before granting the user the capability to perform transactions on the user's account that would be otherwise restricted. The bank server implements a set of policies designed by the user that require the UAD to be present for some transactions with the account to be performed. The presence of this device thus adds an extra layer of security to such financial transactions beyond the use of a username and password.

  • Publication number: 20220388656
Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for an unmanned aerial vehicle aerial survey. One of the methods includes receiving information specifying a location to be inspected by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the inspection including the UAV capturing images of the location. Information describing a boundary of the location to be inspected is obtained. Inspections to be assigned to the location are determined, with the inspection legs being parallel and separated by a particular width. A flight pattern is determined based on a minimum turning radius of the UAV, with the flight pattern specifying an order each inspection leg is to be navigated along, and a direction of the navigation.

  • Patent number: 11509763
Abstract: Embodiments include a system, method, and computer program product that authenticates a caller using calling party information. In an embodiment, an authentication device receives the call request and associated calling party information that includes a calling party number. The authentication device retrieves parameters associated with the calling party number, where a retrieved parameter is a number of accounts linked to the calling party number. The authentication device determines whether the number of accounts is between one and a threshold value, inclusive, and verifies that the call request originates from a location or a device associated with the calling party number. Based on the verifying and determining, the authentication device generates an authentication result that indicates whether the calling party number is authenticated.

  • Publication number: 20220340160
Abstract: Systems and methods for map quality assurance and/or vehicle control. The methods comprise: generating, by the computing device, a plurality of simulation routes for a vehicle to traverse in a map; simulating, by the computing device, operations of the vehicle along each route of the plurality of simulation routes in the map; analyzing, by the computing device, results from the simulating to validate whether or not a quality of the map is validated; causing, by the computing device, the map to be used to control autonomous or semi-autonomous operations of the vehicle, when a determination is made that the quality of the map is validated; and performing a given operation other than said causing, when a determination is made that the quality of the map is not validated.

  • Patent number: 11447259
Abstract: An aircraft including a fuselage and an aft engine is provided. The fuselage extends from a forward end of the aircraft towards an aft end of the aircraft. The aft engine is mounted to the fuselage proximate the aft end of the aircraft and includes a fan and a nacelle. The fan is rotatable about a central axis of the aft engine and includes a plurality of fan blades. The nacelle of the aft engine surrounds the plurality of fan blades and defines a bottom portion having a forward end. Additionally, the nacelle defines a curved surface at the forward end of the bottom portion, the curved surface including a reference point where the curved surface defines the smallest radius of curvature. The nacelle further defines a normal reference line extending normal from the reference point. The normal reference line defines an angle with the central axis of the aft engine greater than zero to, e.g., allow for a maximum amount of airflow into the aft engine.
