  • Publication number: 20180130269
Abstract: A method of data collection for a vehicle includes defining a vehicle build configuration based on individual build configurations of one or more vehicle systems, and defining a data acquisition definition file at a data collection and reporting hub based on the vehicle build configuration. The data acquisition definition file includes parameters and measurements to be performed by a data acquisition system located at the vehicle. The data acquisition definition file is requested by the data acquisition system and the data acquisition definition file is communicated to the data acquisition system via a two way electronic communication link between the data collection and reporting hub following the request from the data acquisition system. • Publication number: 20180123232
Abstract: A method for subsurface radio communication includes transmitting voice data through a subsurface environment, by a transmitter of a radio transceiver. The voice data is received through the subsurface environment, by a receiver of the radio transceiver. A transceiver frequency of the radio transceiver is changed to an optimal transceiver frequency in response to a change to the subsurface environment. The transceiver frequency is one of a transmit frequency of the transmitter and a receive frequency of the receiver. A first impedance of a subwavelength antenna is matched to a second impedance of the transceiver in response to a difference between the first impedance and the second impedance exceeding an impedance mismatch value. The subwavelength antenna has a radiating length less than a transceiver wavelength of the radio transceiver operating in free-space at a maximum of the transceiver frequency.

  • Publication number: 20170272732
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a display device for performing wavelength multiplex visualization (WMV). The display device includes a display screen that includes a plurality of pixels where each pixel contains at least two discrete emitters that generate electromagnetic radiation at a certain wavelength. By controlling the luminance of the respective emitter, the display device sets the color of the pixel. When performing WMV, the display device uses the pixels to generate a left eye display frame and a right eye display frame. Generally, the left eye frame is generated using a different set of wavelengths than the right eye frame. The user can wear special glasses that have interference filters in the lenses which permit only one of the wavelengths to pass through. As a result, each eye of the user sees only one of the display frames, thereby creating the 3D effects.

  • Patent number: 9698853
Abstract: Various implementations include circuits, devices and/or methods that provide open loop current limiting power amplifiers and the like. In some implementations, an open loop current clamp includes a trim module to provide a control value and a limiting source having respective input and output terminals. The input terminal is coupled to the trim module to receive the control value. The output terminal coupled to a control terminal of the first transistor to provide a limiting electrical level produced in response to the control value by the limiting source. The limiting electrical level substantially setting a first mode of operation for the first transistor such that the current draw of the first transistor is substantially determined by the first mode of operation and the limiting electrical level such that a voltage at an output terminal of the first transistor exerts reduced influence on the current draw.
