  • Patent number: 8210861
Abstract: A connector assembly including a first connector configured to be movably mounted to a support structure and having a first mating terminal. The first connector is movable with respect to the support structure in an axial direction along an alignment axis. The connector assembly also includes a second connector that is configured to be movably mounted to a support panel and has a second mating terminal. The second connector is movable with respect to the support panel in a radial direction relative to an alignment axis. The second connector shifts in the radial, direction to align the first and second mating terminals when the first and second connectors engage each other in a misaligned manner. The first connector moves between a projected position and a retracted position along the alignment axis to facilitate establishing a communication pathway between the first and second mating terminals.

  • Publication number: 20100299265
Abstract: This is for a payment device that may be constructed from separate modules in a secure fashion such that the aggregation of the modules constitutes an overall secure device without the use of additional covers, cases, or tamper-resistant housings. The methods and system are provided whereby the devices within a modular payment system can exchange data between each-other in a secure fashion. While data encryption is being used elsewhere, the present invention extends the security zone from each secure payment module within a modular device out over the cable to the next device. This allows the user to purchase payment device components, place them as they see fit, and not have to obtain certification on their end product as a POS-A level payment device.

  • Publication number: 20100094342
Abstract: The device consists of a shaped shoulder piece (1) to rest on the shoulders of a person to be treated, and a shaped head piece (6) to be layed on it, as as support for the chin and two bottom points of the rear lower edge of the skull. This ensures a three-point support of the head on the top sid of this shaped head piece (6). Further, the device comprises a lifting means (13), which is inserted between the back of the shaped shoulder piece (1) and the shaped head piece (6). This lifting means (13) is simply a pump (15) in the form of a bellows (15) with a one-way valve for discharge, by which the air cushion can be inflated and discharged arbitrarily.

  • Patent number: 7555445
Abstract: The present invention provides a computerized system and methods for conducting on-line auctions. One or more concurrent auctions for one or more lots of products or services may be conducted. A dynamic pricing mechanism allows bidders to view the price at which a lot is offered and to make a bid when the price is acceptable to the bidder. In some embodiments, the results of the auction of one lot affect the starting price, reserve price and other characteristics of auctions for subsequent lots. In some embodiments, the pricing of a lot may depend more generally on the demand for similar products. Multiple stage auctions with declining price and rising price aspects are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7494377
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a plurality of contacts, and an outer shell having a cavity formed therein. The cavity extends between a loading end and a mating end of the outer shell, and the mating end is configured to join with a mating connector. A front dielectric member includes a base portion and an appendage extending from a rear end of the base portion. The base portion and the appendage have contact passages receiving the contacts. A rear dielectric member includes a hollow interior and contact passages extending between front and rear ends of the rear dielectric member and defining the hollow interior. The front end of the rear dielectric member contacts the rear end of the front dielectric member such that the appendage is positioned within the hollow interior of the rear dielectric member. The contact passages of the appendage and the rear dielectric member cooperate to surround the contacts.

  • Patent number: 7483520
Abstract: According to a disclosed embodiment, an incoming call from a first telephone number is received (310). A variable indicating the number of calls received from the first telephone number is incremented (312). The variable is compared to a threshold variable (316). Subsequently, the user is prompted to save the first telephone number in an address book (319) when the variable indicating the number of times an incoming call is received from the first telephone number is equal to, or greater than, the threshold variable. The first telephone number is then stored in the address book. Moreover, an apparatus can be assembled (200) to provide cellular telephone users with, for example, instructions and information via a speaker (228) and an LCD display (238). The apparatus is configured to provide instructions and information to the cellular telephone user at appropriate times, thereby increasing the cellular telephone's usefulness.
