  • Patent number: 10739823
Abstract: A motion control assembly includes a motion control device electrically connected to a battery pack and to a mobile computing device for at least data transmission therebetween. The motion control device can generate inputs, such as inputs corresponding to an attribute of a sensed object, for transmission to the mobile computing device. The drain on a battery of a battery-powered mobile computing device can be reduced when used with a motion control device as follows. A motion control assembly, comprising a motion control device and a battery pack, capable of powering the motion control device, as an integral, one-piece unit, is selected. The motion control device is connected to an electrical connector of a battery-powered mobile computing device. The motion control device is supplied with power from the battery pack during use so the motion control device can be operated using the power from the battery pack.

  • Patent number: 10699136
Abstract: The present invention is generally directed to optical data processing or objects in proximity to an optical sensor or camera, such as a camera mounted on a vehicles. Image data is received from a camera mounted on a vehicle, the image data indicative of a motion of the camera with respect to a detected object within a proximity of the camera or the vehicle on which the camera may be mounted. An optical flow of the object in the image data is determined, and a height of the object is determined based on the determined optical flow.

  • Publication number: 20200185349
Abstract: A package structure includes a first dielectric layer, semiconductor device(s) attached to the first dielectric layer, and an embedding material applied to the first dielectric layer so as to embed the semiconductor device therein, the embedding material comprising one or more additional dielectric layers. Vias are formed through the first dielectric layer to the at least one semiconductor device, with metal interconnects formed in the vias to form electrical interconnections to the semiconductor device. Input/output (I/O) connections are located on one end of the package structure on one or more outward facing surfaces thereof to provide a second level connection to an external circuit. The package structure interfits with a connector on the external circuit to mount the package perpendicular to the external circuit, with the I/O connections being electrically connected to the connector to form the second level connection to the external circuit.

  • Patent number: 10601688
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for detecting a fault condition in a network, making use of standard parameter data generated by a network termination device of a user of the network, the method comprising, in a training phase, the remote retrieval of selected parameters from a predetermined set of users' network termination devices in order to generate one or more representative models of expected operational status using the retrieved parameters and, in a monitoring phase, determining a measure of operational status for the set of users at some future time and comparing that with a corresponding expected model measure. Parameter retrieval takes place over substantially the same path through the network as used to supply services to a respective network termination device so that the models are generated in respect of communications over those elements of network infrastructure likely to affect operational status of the respective set of users in the event of a fault condition.
