  • Patent number: 10165310
Abstract: Systems and methods of transcoding video sequences for delivery in a mobile network. A source video sequence including source video frames is received and a source video frame type associated with each of the source video frames is determined based on a differential between a composition time stamp (CTS) and a decoding time stamp (DTS) associated with each of the source video frames. A frame type ratio value for the target frame-types is calculated based on a longest mini-GOP length. A target frame size of each target video frame is determined based on the frame type ratio value and a target transcoding rate, and each of the target video frames in a target video track is encoded to the target frame size to form a target video sequence.

  • Patent number: 10129355
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for adaptively transcoding media in a communications network such that computer processing resources are effectively utilized to deal with varying traffic patterns in the communications network. A computing device receives a request to transcode content and determines a first amount of tokens based on a number of CPU cores associated with the computing device, and a currently used amount of tokens. The computing device determines a second amount of tokens associated with transcoding the content and when the first amount of tokens is less than the second amount of tokens, the computing device bypasses transcoding for the content or adjusts a transcoding parameter to reduce a number of tokens associated with transcoding the content.

  • Publication number: 20180303960
Abstract: The present invention relates to in vivo imaging and in particular to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Provided by the present invention is a pharmaceutical formulation suitable for use in an MRI procedure and which offers advantages over known such formulations. A particular dose of the pharmaceutical formulation of the invention is also envisioned as well as the use of said dose in a method of in vivo imaging. This present invention provides for simultaneous administration of a liver specific agent and a second MR contrast agent that is capable of better/further enhancing the dynamic vascular phase in a patient. The method of the invention has the advantage of simplicity and patient comfort, compared to sequential injections. Furthermore, the method of the invention provides the advantage that it can enable a lower cumulative dose of contrast agents.

  • Publication number: 20180270079
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remotely managing proxy devices through a gateway device. An example method can include establishing electronic communication between the gateway device and a remotely located management server. The management server can transmit a management agent to the gateway device. The management agent can be software that is configured to receive and carry out commands provided by the management server. The management server can also transmit a plugin to the gateway device. The plugin can be configured to translate a first command, received from the management server, into a second command that is capable of being carried out by the proxy device. The method can also include transmitting the first command, including an executable instruction, from the management server to the gateway device. The first command can instruct the gateway device to cause the proxy device to perform an action.

  • Publication number: 20180270618
Abstract: A location of a target associated with a first system is determined at the first system at a first time. A signal is constructed at the first system where the data of the signal includes an identifier indicative of a collision avoidance nature of the signal. The signal is broadcast from the first system. the broadcasting causes a second system to receive the signal; compute a likelihood of a collision between the first system and the second system using the location from the signal, a velocity of the first system, a location of the second system at the first time, and a velocity of the second system at the first time; and send a notification from the second system about the likelihood of collision when the likelihood of collision exceeding a threshold likelihood.
