Abstract: A vehicle seat frame provides a tilting feature for tilting the seat cushion. The frame includes side brackets (20) with a torsion tube (60) laterally-extending through an aperture (100) of the side brackets. The torsion tube is fitted against the side bracket through an internal swaging procedure to allow smooth rotation of the torsion tube within the side brackets. The torsion tube includes an annular protrusion (200) which provides an axial locking feature that tightly secures the subcomponents placed onto the torsion tube during vehicle operation.

Abstract: The loader bucket sieve apparatus is clamped between the jaws of the bucket of a bucket loader or the like, without tools or fasteners. Importantly, as the apparatus rests upon a given surface, the loader operator need only place the jaws of the bucket in the appropriate positions and then clamp the jaws together, reversing said procedure when wishing to disengage the apparatus. The apparatus may have straight supports or concave supports, depending upon need and bucket application. The sieves may extend beyond each side of the supports at each side of the apparatus in order to increase work surface beyond the bounds of the jaws. The sieves may be equidistantly spaced and may also be unequally spaced apart. Sieves may be disposed within all the holes or part of the holes of the supports.

The bias-ply assembly is configured to pass a bias-ply backing material along a first path. The feedstock assembly is configured to pass a feedstock along a second path that crosses the first path at a select angle. The feedstock includes resin pre-impregnated fiber reinforced material (pre-preg) having the fibers at a first orientation relative to an edge of the feedstock. The application head is configured to transfer the pre-preg from the feedstock to the bias-ply backing material at a location where the first path crosses the second path to form a bias-ply with the fibers of the pre-preg having a second different orientation relative to an edge of the formed bias-ply.

Abstract: Provided is a flexible and conformal wearable, self-contained medical device. The medical device comprises an integral housing formed by a flexible upper portion and a flexible lower portion joined along their perimeters. The medical device is also provided in a plurality of shapes and configurations for increasing the flexibility and conformability of the housing. The components contained within the housing, such as a drug reservoir, printed circuit board, and power supply are preferably constructed from flexible materials and are formed, connected and positioned according to the configuration of the housing in a manner for enhancing flexibility of the housing. A thermal bubble micropump is provided for controlling flow of a drug from the flexible reservoir, that utilizes a thermal resistor provided locally to a thermal expansion fluid that causes a surrounding membrane to expand and displace a volume of drug to be provided to the user.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a method of screening for a neoplastic cell in a subject. More particularly, the present invention provides a method of screening for both viable neoplastic cells and, still further, cytotoxin induced neoplastic cell death by detecting the level of expression of La protein and/or gene by a cellular population in said subject or in a biological sample derived from said subject. The method of the present invention is useful in a range of applications including, but not limited to, diagnosing, prognosing or assessing a neoplastic condition, monitoring the progression of such a condition, assessing the effectiveness of a therapeutic agent or therapeutic regime and predicting the likelihood of a subject either progressing to a more advanced disease state or entering a remissive state. The present invention also provides diagnostic agents useful for detecting La protein and/or nucleic acid molecules.

Abstract: A solution for mounting decoupling capacitors on a printed wiring board (PWB) used for mounting a high performance ball grid array (BGA) device is described. The via array that connects the BGA device is modified, the modification being that at least a portion of one row of said vias array is missing at least two adjacent vias. The missing vias are replaced by respective shared vias in an adjacent row, and the shared vias are connected to either a power supply or a power return. The shared vias are also provided with via pads on the other side of said PWB, and a decoupling capacitor can be electrically connected across the pair of via pads to decouple the power supply and the power return at the two adjacent vias.
