  • Patent number: 10620174
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus are provided for improving accuracy of sensor readings reflecting measurements of at least one constituent in an engine exhaust. The sensor measurement is corrected or compensated for by applying to a gain correction factor to the reported sensor measurement. The gain correction factor is developed by determination of prior test sensor readings correlated with discrete sensor age levels, and with constituent concentrations to which those test sensors are exposed. By applying the determined gain correction factor to change the sensor's reported measurements, bias may be reduced and a more accurate measure of actual constituent levels is provided.

  • Patent number: 10604694
Abstract: Compositions and a process for consolidating sand, proppant and other suspended particles present in a subterranean reservoir using an aqueous emulsion particle consolidation system. Surfactants with cloud points below the reservoir temperature are used to make a low viscosity aqueous external emulsion system with resin and curing agent as the internal phase. As the surfactant reaches its cloud point, it loses its emulsification ability and release the resin and curing agent to consolidate the sand. The aqueous phase of the system then functions as spacer to maintain the permeability needed for oil and gas production without additional post flush needed.

  • Publication number: 20200049157
Abstract: A peripheral, such as a cooling fan or LED strip, is illuminated with addressable LEDs, which allow interactive control of the LEDs from a connected controller to create variable lighting effects. The fan can receive power and control signals from a controller, such as a motherboard and associated microprocessor within a host electronic device. The controller output may be based upon event data received from a host electronic device, such as system or application information relayed by a driver installed in a personal computer. The lighting can, amongst other things, convey status of temperature, load, and/or access to components of a personal computer. The fan may also indicate, e.g., queued email or instant messages, by utilizing the LEDs to display associated lighting and effects.

  • Publication number: 20200041998
Abstract: Various embodiments include devices and methods for controlling a robotic vehicle. Each electronic speed controller (ESC) of the robotic vehicle may receive open loop flight control information from a flight controller or another processing device of the robotic vehicle. In some embodiments, each ESC may store the provided open loop flight control information in a memory. In response to detecting a loss of control signals from the flight controller, each ESC may access the stored open loop flight control information and perform control of a motor associated with each ESC based on the open loop flight control information. The open loop flight control information may be a sequence of motor control instructions to be performed over a period of time, or parameterized information or vehicle state information that enables each ESC to generate a sequence of motor control instructions.

  • Publication number: 20190368645
Abstract: A fibre-reinforced polymer component is provided which comprises a main portion comprising fibre-reinforced polymer and at least one surface and at least one raised feature extending from said surface. The at least one raised feature consists of non-reinforced polymer and is shaped to incur visually perceptible damage when the component is subject to an impact with an energy above a predetermined impact energy threshold and to resist an impact with an energy below the predetermined impact energy threshold. The at least one raised feature thus provides a clear visual aid as to when a component has experienced an impact with an energy above the impact energy threshold. Because the raised feature consists of polymer without fibre reinforcement, it is more fragile than the fibre-reinforced polymer main portion 204 and thus reduces the energy at which impacts may be detected.

  • Publication number: 20190354116
Abstract: Aspects may provide navigation assistance to guide a robotic vehicle through a course defined by a plurality of gates each including a fiducial marker that encodes a location, an ordering, and a pose of the corresponding gate. In some implementations, an optimal trajectory may be generated through the course and used to determine whether to provide navigation assistance to the robotic vehicle. The optimal trajectory may include a reference path that extends through openings formed in center portions of the gates, and may be used to create a virtual tunnel indicating a maximum distance that the robotic vehicle may deviate from various points along the reference path. If the robotic vehicle deviates from the optimal trajectory by more than the distance while traversing the course, navigation assistance may be provided to the robotic vehicle.
