  • Patent number: 10996227
Abstract: Pre-coated analysis substrates, and methods of making the substrates and using them to analyze animal tissue, are described. The pre-coated analysis substrates can be made by forming a matrix surface on an analysis substrate; adding a protease to the matrix surface to form a pre-coated analysis substrate; and placing an animal tissue specimen on the matrix surface. The animal tissue can then be analyzed by allowing the protease to partially digest the animal tissue specimen; and analyzing the partially digested animal tissue specimen by mass spectrometry.

  • Publication number: 20210126653
Abstract: Various implementations are directed to systems and methods for maintaining integrity and reliability of data in an SSD device using error correction coding. According to certain aspects, for frames of data having an ECC code with two or more sub-codes, while one sub-decoder is not in use it could be used to start a decode of another frame. By “interleaving” and alternating the frames between sub-decoders, two or more frames can be decoded simultaneously in an efficient manner. This can clearly be extended to more sub-codes (i.e. dimensions greater than two).

  • Publication number: 20210121342
Abstract: The embodiments described and claimed herein are a restraint system for securing a gurney in a vehicle. In one embodiment, a conventional antler and rail-type gurney restraint system is improved by the addition of a center latch restraint that engages with a latch member secured by a support bracket to the underside of the gurney. In one configuration, the latch member enters into engagement with the center latch restraint through lateral movement of the control end of the gurney. In that respect, the EMT may use the same autonomic movements used with the conventional antler and rail-type system to secure the gurney in the vehicle. Optionally, one or more of the gurney occupant restraint belts are directly connected to the support bracket, whereby occupant loads during an accident will bypass the gurney and occupant head excursions can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 10990242
Abstract: Systems and methods are provides for changing a window stack for a multi-screen device. The window stack can change based on the movement of a window. The system can receive a gesture indicating a change in the position of a window in the device. Upon receiving the gesture, the system determines a new position in the window stack for the moved window. Then, the system can determine a display associated with the moved window and change the logic data structure associated with the moved window to describe the new position of the moved window in the window stack.

  • Patent number: 10987871
Abstract: A system for manufacturing a thermoplastic object may include a robotic arm configured to dispense thermoplastic material, a support apparatus, a computing device and an imaging system. The imaging system may scan thermoplastic material dispensed by the first robotic arm and create a three-dimensional scan model. The model may be compared to a computer model profile to determine if the dispensed material requires adjustment. If the dispensed material requires adjustment, the computing device may adjust the robotic arm or the support apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10963800
Abstract: A method of augmenting a semantic query of multiple external data sources including receiving a request to search a data store for fields-of-interest designated by a user, applying path-finding technique(s) to identify connections between the fields-of-interest in a semantic model, generating a query based on the connections, intercepting the executing query to determine if data for the fields-of-interest are contained in an external data store, if so identifying an external data service to retrieve external data, executing a semantic query on a triple store, fusing results from the semantic query with the retrieved external data, and providing the fused results to the user computing device. A system and a non-transitory computer readable medium are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210073225
Abstract: A device may receive a user-specified query, and may construct the user-specified query as a query tree of operators that include zero or more operands. The device may produce, for each of the operators, a weight that indicates how valuable or confident a determination of relevancy of each of the operators is in relation to siblings in the query tree. The device may normalize the weights for the siblings in the query tree with a parent operator according to a normalization formula. The device may produce, for each of the operators, a score, normalized to a value from zero to one and computed for the document, that represents how relevant the document is to the user-specified query. The device may apply the query tree to the document as a whole as well as to positions within the document to determine the final normalized score for the document.
