Abstract: Included are embodiments for providing context search filtering. Some embodiments include receiving a search term for locating a document on a closed network, utilizing a closed network search algorithm to locate a plurality of documents on the closed network, and creating identifiers for the plurality of documents from the closed network, the identifiers being arranged in a predetermined order. Similarly, some embodiments include determining whether any of the identifiers relate to a common source and in response to determining that at least two of the identifiers relate to the common source, reorganizing the identifiers to incorporate the at least two identifiers under a common heading. Still some embodiments include providing a user interface that includes the common heading and at least a portion of the identifiers.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to computer-implemented methods for navigating to a selected location. One method includes receiving from a client device, which includes a graphical user interface, a search query for locations. The method includes performing a search using the search query to obtain one or more locations corresponding to the search query. The method includes sending to the client device, for display on the graphical user interface, the one or more locations corresponding to the search query. The method includes receiving from the client device, an indication of a selected location which corresponds to one of the location or locations corresponding to the search query. The method includes calculating navigation instructions for the secondary device to navigate to the selected location. The method includes sending to the client device, the navigation instructions for the secondary device, and a request to forward the navigation instructions to the secondary device.

Abstract: A method, performed by a mobile communication device, may include receiving a message; extracting one or more features associated with the message; and determining a priority level for the message, based on the extracted one or more features, using a model that relates the extracted one or more features to an expected response time for the message. The method may further include determining a context associated with the user of the mobile communication device; modifying the priority level based on the determined context; and providing the message to a list of messages based on the modified priority level. Additionally, the user may be provided with a notification tone associated with the modified priority level.

Abstract: An antenna with polarization switching comprises a support comprising at least two faces each supporting a plurality of waveguides fed with radiofrequency signals and pierced with apertures disposed so as to illuminate radiating elements placed some distance from the said apertures. For at least one given antenna pointing, the said support is able to toggle between at least two different configurations, the said support being configured so as to place, in the second configuration, the second face in a position identical to that taken by the first face in the first configuration, several radiating elements of the first face being, in the said position, oriented differently from radiating elements of the second face. It applies notably to the switching of antennas embedded onboard moving objects on the ground having to operate high-speed communications with a satellite, in particular a geostationary satellite.

Abstract: Identification of infectious pathogens, particularly viruses, bacteria and other microorganisms is effected with a method whereby pathogens of acute infections can be identified, without first culturing them in external nutrient media, by mass spectrometric measurement of their protein profiles obtained from pathogens directly precipitated from body fluid into pellets by centrifuging. With this method, pathogens which cause acute infections can be identified in less than one hour.

Abstract: Embodiments provide an advanced decision support tool to enable automated aircraft sequencing and conflict detection and resolution. The tool can be used to assist an air traffic controller (ATC) in determining merging, sequencing, and spacing resolutions; communicating the resolutions to the aircraft; and monitoring execution and compliance with the provided resolutions. According to embodiments, the tool can incorporate a broad range of inputs (e.g., surveillance data, weather information, aircraft equipage, etc.) and can be configured according to different aircraft sequencing modes of operation (e.g., one mode of operation is to minimize aircraft deviations necessary to resolve a particular conflict). In an embodiment, the tool includes a controller interface, which may be integrated within the controller interface of existing ATC systems or implemented separately. Embodiments can be implemented using software, hardware, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: The embodiments of the invention relate to a tap hole plug gun for metallurgical furnaces, having a pressure cylinder for receiving the plugging compound, which has a closable filling opening for the plugging compound, and having a plugging piston for pressing the plugging compound out from a mouthpiece of the pressure cylinder pressed against the tap hole of a furnace. The pivotable safety flap for closing the filling opening of the pressure cylinder for the plugging compound is equipped with a stop, which is pivoted into the cylinder chamber of the pressure cylinder upon opening of the flap to decelerate an unintentional forward stroke of the plugging piston for pre-compression and expulsion of the plugging compound, and is pivoted out of the cylinder chamber upon closing of the safety flap.

Abstract: A temperature sensor array comprises an optical fiber (16) on which are a plurality of Bragg gratings (18) on respective spaced apart portions of the fiber. Each portion is in a housing (14) which freely houses the said portion substantially without axial strain on the fiber within the housing and which also isolates the grating from strain imposed on the fiber outside the housing. Thus substantially only changes in temperature affect the Bragg grating of that portion. The array may be used to detect and control the temperature of a tool (12) for forming a composite component amongst other uses.

Abstract: Decreasing the cost of a touchpad by avoiding the cost of simultaneously measuring all signals from sense electrodes by using a limited number of measuring circuits to accomplish noise reduction and de-ghosting of signal data to thereby obtain the precise location of multiple fingers on a touchpad, wherein the touchpad separates the drive electrodes into groups to thereby provide a means for obtaining granular location information for de-ghosting the touchpad, and wherein overlapping measurements are made of groups of sense electrodes to obtain data that is separated in time to thereby obtain an averaged signal for each electrode and thereby reduce sensitivity to noise.

Abstract: A superior measuring system comprises three sidewinders and a cobra measure which allows the users to take inside measurement with the assistance for one else. Sidewinders are use to measure distance between 2? to 23? and comprise a casing, an upper blade, and a bottom blade. The cobra measure comprises a main body, a single blade and a hood. The sidewinders have three extending blades which extend from the front and the back sides. The both blades can be locked from a locking mechanism so the blades do not move freely. The cobra measure comprises an angle control which control the angle that the single blade so accurate measurements. The single blade in the cobra measure is a curved shaped blade which provides better stability when measurements are taken.

Abstract: Search engine reliance on link-based ranking algorithms has been shown to delay the visibility of fresh content added to the World Wide Web (Web), relative to established content. Fresh content abstracts are randomly inserted into top ranked search results to achieve more even visibility coverage of the Web and improve overall search quality. Searcher behavior is monitored to infer a rank for the fresh content, and for established content. Rank that is so inferred is termed “ResultRank.” ResultRank is used to compliment link-based ranking schemes to improve web visibility and avoid a bias toward established links. Searcher satisfaction is monitored during this process since the quality of fresh content is unknown. A search engine extended enterprise metric (R metric) is introduced and designed to monitor aggregate searcher satisfaction. ResultRank and the R metric are used to complement existing ranking and pricing algorithms for sponsored results as well.

Abstract: A method for transmitting/receiving multimedia contents via a radiocommunication network includes a first step of a first server transmitting an identifier specific to a multimedia content over a dedicated point-to-point transmission channel to all terminals registered with the first server as interested in the content, a second step of the first server transmitting to a second server adapted to provide a broadcast content transmission service a request to broadcast a message including the content in its entirety and its identifier, and a third step of the second server broadcasting the message over a broadcast channel.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing noise on a touchpad that uses mutual capacitance on an X axis and Y axis grid of transverse electrodes that function as stimulus or drive electrodes on one axis and function as inputs or sense electrodes on a different axis, wherein there is significant noise that can affect operation of the touchpad, and wherein it is desirable to minimize the effects of this noise by simultaneously sampling a group of sense electrodes, wherein by sampling the sense electrodes at the same time, the level of noise on each sense electrode should be similar and can therefore be subtracted out of measured sense signals to therefore more accurately determine a position of a sensed object or objects on the touchpad.
