  • Publication number: 20250114394
Abstract: The composition inhibits severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2) via competitive binding to SARS-COV-2 spike protein. The composition includes a plurality of sulfated glycosaminoglycans which bind to SARS-COV-2 spike protein, preventing binding to and uptake by host cells. The sulfated glycosaminoglycans, including N-, 2-O, 3-O, or 6-O sulfate groups, or combinations thereof, include heparins and fucoidans, such as those isolated from brown seaweed. The compositions show antiviral activity, with EC50 as low as 0.08 ?M, and low cytotoxicity, making it promising for clinical use. While established SARS-COV-2 treatments such as remdesivir need to be administered intravenously, the compositions discussed herein are advantageously capable to being delivered as a nasal spray, metered dose inhaler, oral delivery, etc.

  • Patent number: 12201536
Abstract: Various aspects of this disclosure relate to a prosthetic cover comprising an array of sensors, which transmit signals to an array of electrodes in a liner that fits over a residual limb of an amputee. Different interactions with the prosthetic cover cause different activation of the electrodes to transmit electrical current through different areas of the residual limb and modulate neurons differently within the residual limb. Various aspects of this disclosure also relate to a prosthetic liner with a substrate that includes electrodes for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and/or electronic muscle stimulation for a residual limb.

  • Publication number: 20240311829
Abstract: The disclosed system and method is directed to enhancing feasibility of virtual card numbers (VCNs), as secure transaction instruments in online electronic transaction, by incorporating an offline attribute value, which may correspond to an element of the users physical card such as the CVV code, into the validation parameters specified for a VCN. This functionality may be implemented, on the validation end, by modifying a VCN data object to include a reference to the corresponding data element. The proposed system and method provides a more flexible and feasible implementation for conducting VCN transactions without compromising authentication security across network connections.

  • Publication number: 20240288272
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a computing system may collect, for each ride of a plurality of rides, first ride data associated with a user riding a personal mobility vehicle during a certain time period. The system may calculate, for each ride, an approximate load on the personal mobility vehicle based on at least the first ride data. The system may calculate a user profile of the user based on the approximate loads. The system may collect, for a subsequent ride, second ride data associated with the user riding a current personal mobility vehicle after the certain time period. The system may calculate, for the subsequent ride, a second approximate load on the current personal mobility vehicle based on at least the second ride data. The system may compare the second approximate load to the user profile and classify the subsequent ride as individual or tandem based on the comparison.
