  • Patent number: 8894519
Abstract: Archery broadheads include one or more cutting blades which are folded in when shot from a bow. The blades deploy automatically using stored potential energy upon impact with minimal interaction with the target. The blades are attached to the main body of the broadhead and pivot near the leading or forward edge. The deployment is caused by a plunger tip cam releasing the stored potential energy of an internal spring mechanism and uses only minimal kinetic energy of the arrow to actuate. According to one exemplary embodiment, once actuated, the internal spring slides along a cam shaped part of the blades forcing them open. According to another exemplary embodiment, once actuated, the internal spring operates a slide connecting a toggle-link to the blades forcing them open. In both embodiments, the spring-slide mechanism holds the blades closed during flight, deploys the blades on contact and locks the blades open.

  • Publication number: 20140264340
Abstract: Various technologies pertaining to characterizing a component of a large surface area array electronic device, such as a focal plane array (FPA), are described. A first semiconductor chip is reversibly hybridized with a second semiconductor chip through use of a conductive layer. Responsive to being reversibly hybridized, at least one of the first semiconductor chip or the second semiconductor chip is characterized as being defective or suitable for deployment. Thereafter, the conductive layer is removed, and the first semiconductor chip is separated from the second semiconductor chip without damaging either of the first semiconductor chip or the second semiconductor chip.

  • Patent number: 8645232
Abstract: A system, a method, and computer readable medium for threshold billing of returned items. Billing threshold rules are established and stored in a computer memory and are associated with returned items. A returned item is identified and a computer processor determines if a billing threshold rule has been associated with the returned item. If so, the processor assigns the returned item to a container based on a billing threshold rule associated with the returned item. Information indicating the container to which the returned item has been assigned is stored in the computer memory. The processor determines if the billing threshold amount for the returned item has been reached. If so, the processor determines the status of the container to which the returned item has been assigned.
