  • Publication number: 20180345862
Abstract: The invention concerns an adjustment instrument for an exterior vision unit for a vehicle. The adjustment instrument comprises a housing which is pivotably adjustable relative to a base between a park position and an overfold position via a drive position. The adjustment instrument furthermore comprises an electric drive unit provided in the housing, which cooperates via an output element with a driving ring provided with force transmission cams. The force transmission cams in the drive position are supported on a housing cam track of the housing, and upon electrically driven pivoting of the housing are supported on a base cam track of the base. In and near the drive position the force transmission cams can cooperate directly with the housing.

  • Publication number: 20170361773
Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening construction for an exterior mirror unit for a motor vehicle, comprising two parts secured to each other substantially immovably at least in an axial direction. A first part has a frame, configured to cooperate with the second part, which accommodates a resilient element such that the frame can at least locally allow the resilient element, during assembly of the first part to the second part, to bend and/or spring away in a sideward direction which extends substantially transversely to the axial direction, while the frame at least locally prevents the resilient element from bending and/or springing away at least one way in said axial direction. The fastening construction is furthermore configured to have the resilient element, during the placement of the first and the second part onto each other, spring away in the sideward direction and thereupon have it at least partly spring back.

  • Publication number: 20170240113
Abstract: The invention relates to a movement mechanism, which is provided with a base element and a support element, which, inserted into each other, form a ball hinge construction, the support element being rotatable relative to the base element about at least a first virtual axis, which passes substantially through a virtual center of the ball hinge construction. The support element is provided with drive means to enable the support element to be moved relative to the base element, which drive means comprise a first electric motor and a first drive train with an output gearwheel. The drive means are housed in the support element in order to move along with the support element when the support element is moved relative to the base element.

  • Publication number: 20170240114
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator mechanism for adjusting at least one angular position of a mirror element in an exterior mirror device for a motor vehicle. The actuator mechanism comprises a base element and a mirror element movably coupled with the base element, which comprises a mirror support for supporting a mirror surface. The mirror element is rotatable relative to the base element about at least a first pivoting axis with the aid of a first electric motor provided in the actuator mechanism, which extends in a longitudinal direction that is substantially transverse to a supporting surface of the mirror support. What can be elegantly facilitated by this, for instance also in the case of a relatively small mirror surface that is only a few centimeters wide and/or is only a few centimeters long, is that, as seen from a direction in which during use the mirror surface is being viewed by a driver, such electric motor does not protrude, or hardly protrudes, next to, above and/or below the mirror surface.

  • Publication number: 20170167561
Abstract: A mirror adjustment mechanism, in particular for a wing mirror for a motor vehicle, having a base part with a mirror support arranged pivotally relative thereto, wherein between the base part and the mirror support a damper is arranged, the damper including a collar portion coupled to the mirror support, encompassing a ball portion, coupled to the base part, or vice versa, both constituting a ball joint arrangement. A slide element is slidingly engaged between the ball portion and the collar portion in such a way that it restrains movement of the collar portion relative to the ball portion, resulting from movement the mirror support relative to the base part, wherein the slide element is a spring ring slidingly abutting on contact surfaces of the ball portion and coupled to the collar portion.
