Abstract: Search results are provided in a format that allows users to efficiently determine whether audio or video documents identified from a search query actually contain the words in the query. This is achieved by returning snippets of text around query term matches and allowing the user to play a segment of the audio signal by selecting a word in the snippet. In other embodiments, markers are placed on a timeline that represents the duration of the audio signal. Each marker represents a query term match and when selected causes the audio signal to begin to play near the temporal location represented by the marker.

Abstract: A PWM comprises a voltage transformation module, a voltage-sensing module and a timer. The voltage transformation module is configured to transform an input voltage into an output voltage. The voltage-sensing module is coupled to the voltage transformation module and configured to detect a voltage of a first terminal, wherein the voltage of the first terminal is proportional to the output voltage. The timer is configured to measure the time duration for which the voltage of the first terminal is lower than a reference voltage, wherein the timer initiates a short circuit signal when the time duration is greater than a predetermined value.

Abstract: An electrical device is provided. The electrical device of this invention includes a voltage control circuit that couples with an AC-DC adapter and a charger. The voltage control circuit uses the charger to determine the condition of the battery and controls the AC-DC adapter to generate different output voltages by the conditions of the system loading and the battery. The electrical device can be used for portable equipment.

The adjustment signal is omni-directional and continuously variable. Abstract: A full-text lattice indexing and searching system and method for indexing word lattices using a text indexer to enable enhance searching of audio content. The system and method utilize a Time-Anchored Lattice Expansion (TALE) method that represents word lattices such that they can be indexed with existing text indexers with little or no modification. Embodiments of system and method include an indexing module for generating and indexing word lattices based on audio content and a searching module for allowing searching of a full-text index containing indexed word lattices. The indexing module includes a custom IFilter and a custom Wordbreaker. Embodiments of the searching module include an ExpandQuery function for decorating an input query and a custom Stemmer. Embodiments of the searching module also include a GenerateSnippets module that extracts information from the indexed word lattices to enable the creation of clickable snippets.

Abstract: A generalized discriminative training framework for reconciling the training and evaluation objectives for document similarity is provided. Prior information about document relations and non-relations, are used to discriminatively train an ensemble of document similarity classification models. This result is a model set that can be used to compute similarity between seen documents in the training sets and new documents. The measure of similarity forms the basis of recommending documents to a user as well as being able to obtain metadata information such as keywords and tags for new documents not having such information.

The method determines a location directory in the second network for the second user and receives the roaming information for the second user from the location directory.
