Abstract: A kettle holder includes an elongated plate adapted to be mounted on a bicycle frame, a holding arm integrally extending from one side of the elongated plate to be vertical to a longitudinal axis of the elongated plate for engagement with one side of a kettle and a helix arm integrally extending from the other side of the elongated plate to be opposite to the holding arm. The helix arm has a bend formed on a free end thereof so that a receiving space is defined among the holding arm, the helix arm and the bend for receiving therein the kettle. The helix arm is able to deform to provide clamping force for engagement with the kettle and when the kettle is removed, the helix arm returns to its original position.

Abstract: A dimming method for light emitting diodes (LEDs), which is applied in a pulse width modulation boost circuit system, includes the following steps: (a) equally dividing a cycle into a plurality of intervals; (b) providing a plurality of control signals having the cycle and a pulse duration, wherein the pulse duration of each of the control signals is sequentially generated in the cycle; and (c) using the plurality of control signals to control a plurality of corresponding switches for dimming the LEDs connected to the switches.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a metallic shell (100) from a base shell made of metal is provided. The metallic shell includes an grippable portion (12). The method includes six steps, as follows. The base shell is formed (S1). The base shell is ground (S2) and burnished (S3) and then washed and cleaned (S4). The grippable portion of the metallic shell is engraved (S5) to yield a texture approximating a wood grain. Finally, the base shell is anodically treated (S6).

Abstract: Content-based analysis is performed on multimedia content prior to encoding the multimedia content in the rendering chain of processing. A content-based index stream is generated based on the content-based analysis and the content-based index stream is embedded in the multimedia file during rendering. The content-based index stream can be used to generate a content-based searchable index when necessary.

Abstract: A feedback signal sensing method includes the steps of: providing a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal having a period; charging a capacitor by a current source during a pulse duration of the period, so as to form an equivalent slope compensation ramp signal; conducting an inductor current flowing from a boost inductor to flow through an equivalent resistor during the pulse duration of the period, so as to form an equivalent inductor current signal; and using a coupling characteristic of the capacitor together with the equivalent slope compensation ramp signal and the equivalent inductor current signal to form a feedback signal.

Abstract: A system and method for processing a graphics primitive for display in a display area defined by a scissoring window. The graphics primitive is part of an object in view space which also includes a near and a far plane and possibly one or more user-defined clipping planes. These planes may affect the portion of the graphics primitive to be rendered in the display area. The graphics primitive is enclosed by a bounding box, which is then reduced, if possible, based on the Znear clipping plane intersecting the graphics primitive. The reduced bounding box is then subjected to the scissoring window if a portion of the bounding box lies outside the window. The final bounding box determines how much of the graphics primitive should be rendered in the display area. This reduces the amount of rendering that is required of the graphics system, and increases the performance of the system.
