  • Patent number: 8231918
Abstract: A method for delivering a short coffee extract faster from a closed capsule containing ground coffee by injecting water under pressure within the capsule. The capsule is filled with ground coffee, has a delivery membrane and is extracted in a coffee extraction device and pressurized water is injected in the capsule under pressure. The coffee beverage is released through the beverage delivery membrane of the capsule with engaging means engaging in and/or against the membrane. The pressure loss is reduced in the coffee bed by providing ground coffee having a reduced percentage of fines (F) depending on the average particle size (D4,3). The extraction yield is maintained between 15 and 30% and the coffee extract of 25 or 40 grams is delivered in a flow time of 20 seconds or less.

  • Patent number: 8088423
Abstract: A method for delivering a long coffee extract from a capsule containing ground coffee within a flow time of 50 seconds or less by injection of water under pressure within the capsule. The capsule is filled with ground coffee and has a delivery membrane. The capsule is extracted in a coffee extraction device, and pressurized water is injected in the capsule under pressure. The coffee beverage is released through the beverage delivery membrane of the capsule with engaging means engaging in and/or against the membrane. The pressure loss is reduced in the coffee bed by providing in the capsule coffee ground having a controlled percentage of fines (F) depending on the average particle size (D4,3). The flow time can be lowered to 40 seconds or even less while maintaining a coffee extraction yield within a high range of 15 to 30%.

  • Publication number: 20110207392
Abstract: In order to improve the energy balance for air cooling in equipment cabinets, in particular cabinet arrangements in computer centres and server rooms, regulation of the fans for the cooling air circuit is proposed, by means of which precisely the required amount of cooling air can be made available in the induction area to the electronic module units, in particular servers, in the equipment cabinets. According to the invention, at least one leakage air flow is formed between a cold air channel and an exhaust air channel, and is provided with a temperature sensor. The temperature measurement indirectly measures the flow direction and acts as a reference variable for regulating the rotation speed of the fans which, in particular, are arranged in the exhaust air channel. Regulation of the fan rotation speed matches the volume flow of the cooling air circuit to the volume flow actually required by the electronic module units, and therefore reduces the electricity consumption.

  • Patent number: 7619887
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for cooling equipment and network cabinets, particularly server cabinets, in which the fans are integrated into a door. The resulting fan door, in the closed position, covers an access area of the rear of the cabinet and longitudinally adjacent to the fan door is arranged in fixed manner an air-to-fluid heat exchanger, whilst covering a residual area of the rear of the cabinet and to which is articulated the fan door. The heat loss given off to a cooling liquid, particularly cold water, in the heat exchanger is removed via a pipe system outside the cabinet installation area and rigid connecting pipes of a gas-tight material can be used for the connection of the heat exchangers of the individual cabinets to the building-side pipe system.
