  • Patent number: 9692967
Abstract: Systems and methods for camera devices with low boot time are provided. In one example embodiment, a user input is received at an interface of a camera. In response to the user input, a low-power processor boots a image processor. The image processor then captures camera data and writes the camera data to memory before automatically powering down. In certain embodiments, a low-power wireless connection from the camera to a client device is established. Based on this connection, the low-power processor initiates boot-up of a high-speed processor and wireless communication circuitry, which is used to transmit the camera data to the client device.

  • Patent number: 9678338
Abstract: Systems and methods for communications with wearable devices having displays with low boot time are provided. In one example embodiment, a display command is received at a low-power processor, and the low-power processor boots a video processor. The video processor then boots a high-speed processor as part of managing display of content. In certain embodiments, a low-power wireless connection from a camera to a client device is established. Based on this connection, the low-power processor initiates boot-up of a high-speed processor and wireless communication circuitry, which is used to receive content for display on the wearable device.

  • Patent number: 9668217
Abstract: Systems and methods for device handshaking are described. Embodiments for client device and associated wearable device initiated handshaking are described. In certain embodiments, a device such as wearable camera eyeglasses having both high-speed wireless circuitry and low-power wireless circuitry communicates with a client device. The low-power wireless circuitry is used for signaling and to manage power on handshaking for the high-speed circuitry in order to reduce power consumption. An analysis of a high-speed connection status may be performed by a client device, and used to conserve power at the glasses with signaling from the client device to indicate when the high-speed circuitry of the glasses should be powered on.

  • Publication number: 20170042619
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to model-based surgical planning. One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a surgical planning tool that can be implemented on a computer to be used for model-based surgical planning. The surgical tool can determine a coordinate system related to gravity from a plurality of standing images of a joint of a patient. The coordinate system can be used to plan a patient-specific arthroplasty procedure. As such, the surgical planning can include orienting a model of an implant for the joint at an optimal location in the coordinate system based on a weighting between an edge loading value and an impingement value.

  • Publication number: 20160347162
Abstract: A motor vehicle body structure includes a frame rail and a bracket attached to the rail and adapted for attaching an engine mount. The bracket has a first portion secured to the frame rail beneath the engine mount and at least one cantilever portion projecting at one end beyond the first portion. The cantilever portion defines an anchoring point for attachment of the engine mount that is spaced from the frame rail so that the portion of the frame rail beneath the anchoring point may undergo controlled deformation in the event of a front end vehicle collision.
