  • Patent number: 10478232
Abstract: An interspinous process device is configured for placement between adjacent spinous processes on a subject's spine. The device includes a housing configured for mounting to a first spinal process, the housing having a lead screw fixedly secured at one end thereof. A magnetic assembly is at least partially disposed within the housing and configured for mounting to a second spinal process. The magnetic assembly includes a hollow magnet configured for rotation within the magnetic assembly, the hollow magnet comprising a threaded insert configured to engage with the lead screw. An externally applied magnetic field rotates the hollow magnet in a first direction or a second, opposite direction. Rotation of the hollow magnet in the first direction causes telescopic movement of the magnetic assembly out of the housing (i.e., elongation) and rotation in the second direction causes telescopic movement of the magnetic assembly into the housing (i.e., shortening).

  • Patent number: 10468224
Abstract: An apparatus may include an electrode assembly, the electrode assembly comprising a plurality of electrodes, arranged in a plurality of electrode pairs arranged to conduct an ion beam therethrough. A given electrode pair lies along a radius of an arc describing a nominal central ray trajectory, wherein a radius of a first electrode pair and an adjacent electrode pair define an angular spacing. The plurality of electrode pairs may define a plurality of angular spacings, wherein, in a first configuration, the plurality of angular spacings are not all equal. The apparatus may also include a power supply in communication with the EM, the power supply configured to independently supply voltage to the plurality of electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20190302977
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a GUI for a media editing application that provides visual cues (e.g., colors and/or lane sets) for media clips that are assigned different tags (or roles) in a media presentation. The GUI of the media application of some embodiments displays media clips of a composite media presentation, in which at least some of the media clips are associated with tags. The GUI also provides GUI controls for associating media clips associated with different tags with different colors and for displaying the media clips based on the clips' associated color. In some embodiments, the GUI includes a tool for arranging clips into groups based on assigned tags. The tool of some embodiments, upon selection, defines a set of lanes for each tag and displays any anchored clip that is associated with a tag in the set of lanes associated with the tag.

  • Publication number: 20190259768
Abstract: The present disclosure describes apparatuses and methods for manufacturing programmable memory devices with optimized gate oxide thickness. In some aspects, lithography masks are used to fabricate oxide gates for programmable memory devices of an integrated-circuit (IC) die that are thinner than oxide gates fabricated for processor core devices of the IC die. In other aspects, lithography masks are used to fabricate oxide gates for the programmable memory devices of the IC die such that they are thicker than the oxide gates fabricated for the processor core devices of the IC die. By so doing, the programmable memory devices can be manufactured with optimized gate oxide thickness that may reduce programming voltage or increase device reliability of the programmable memory devices.
