  • Publication number: 20060071299
Abstract: An independent access, double-gate transistor and tri-gate transistor fabricated in the same process flow is described. An insulative plug is removed from above the semiconductor body of the I-gate device, but not the tri-gate device. This allows, for instance, metalization to form on three sides of the tri-gate device, and allowing independent gates for the I-gate device.

  • Publication number: 20060068550
Abstract: A method for fabricating double-gate and tri-gate transistors in the same process flow is described. In one embodiment, a sacrificial layer is formed over stacks that include semiconductor bodies and insulative members. The sacrificial layer is planarized prior to forming gate-defining members. After forming the gate-defining members, remaining insulative member portions are removed from above the semiconductor body of the tri-gate device but not the I-gate device. This facilitates the formation of metallization on three sides of the tri-gate device, and the formation of independent gates for the I-gate device.

  • Publication number: 20050263544
Abstract: A pair of sure-grip inserts formed as molded rubber sheathes for use in conjunction with a caulking gun having a downwardly protruding trigger that is retracted by hand to dispense caulk, and a downwardly protruding stationary handle to provide a hand grip for retracting the trigger. The trigger insert formed as an open-ended molded rubber sheath with a particular contoured shape and an internal channel conforming to the trigger for slidable insertion thereon. The handle insert is likewise formed as an open-ended molded rubber sheath conforming to the handle for slidable insertion thereon. The inserts are molded per a two-color double-injection-molding process to provide an aesthetically striking two-color appearance, and they are molded with a particular contoured design that conforms to the hand, thereby improving comfort during hard, extended use. The contour plus the use of soft-durometer thermoplastic rubber gives a high-coefficient of friction for a vastly improved grip under all (even wet) conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050109170
Abstract: This invention discloses a sectional adjustable socket tool handle, which controls the movement of an axial rod along the axial direction of an external pipe by a connecting measure, and comprises a plurality of grooves, a coupler for engaging the plurality of grooves, such that a latch member on the external pipe is latched into the groove under normal conditions, and the coupler can move between a first position and a second position along the axial direction of the external pipe. When the coupler moves to the first position, the coupler will press against the latch member to prevent the axial rod from moving. When the coupler moves to the second position, the coupler will release the latch member. Such arrangement can provide a safe and reliable socket wrench.

  • Publication number: 20050019172
Abstract: An front catch plate for manual, pneumatic or battery power-operated dual-barrel dispensing guns of the type having a pair of laterally-displaced and adjustable plunger shafts with end-mounted pistons for extruding compound from both cartridges of a variety of sizes of twin cartridge packs. In one embodiment, the front catch plate accepts the cartridge neck from an opening on the top side of the front catch plate. A plastic insert is attached to the front catch plate and provides a custom fit base for the specific form, shape and size of the cartridge neck used. There is a separate plastic insert for each different commercially available dual cartridge. In this embodiment, the front catch plate will generally be manufactured as one piece with the carriage. In another embodiment, the front catch plate accepts the cartridge neck from an opening on the side of the front catch plate.

  • Publication number: 20050000984
Abstract: A drinking-fluid dispenser includes an uprightly oriented bottle having an open end and a close end. Mounted inside the bottle adjacent the open end is a valve connected to a float by an actuating arm. There is also a pressure-vent unit insertably disposed near the open end of the bottle for maintaining atmospheric pressure above the fluid inside the bottle. During normal use, fluid extracted out of the bottle is replendished by an external fluid source which is in fluid communication with the bottle through the valve. The valve in turn is controlled by the float which buoyantly floats on the fluid, closes and opens the valve, respectively, when the fluid rises and falls inside the bottle.

  • Patent number: 6791753
Abstract: Fiber optical interleavers based on a retro-reflective structure are disclosed. The retro-reflective structure includes three stages of optical components. A first stage includes walk-off crystals, at least one of the crystals is used to displace a received optical signal with multiplexed bands or channels therein into a first ray (e.g. an O-ray) and a second ray (e.g. an E-ray). A second stage following the first stage includes at least a pair of birefringent crystals to form an interferometer that create path or phase differences introduced by the birefringent index differences between the first ray and the second ray. A third stage following the second stage includes a pair of half wave plates, a walk-off crystal and a quarter wave plate, wherein the quarter wave plate has a highly reflective coating on one end to retro-reflect light beams back through the same stages. Respective reflected and processed first ray and second ray are then combined in the first stage to output respective demultiplexed beams.

  • Publication number: 20040096292
Abstract: A fastener assembly having a bolt having a shaft with a plurality of spaced elongated closed end splines spaced from a like plurality of open ended splines. Each pair of splines are interconnected by a crossover slot of the same or greater depth than the closed end and open ended splines. The entry into the crossover slots is wide enough for ears of a retaining ring that is inserted onto the open ended splines of the bolt shaft to pass through the crossover slots and be forced out of a restricted width exit leading from the crossover slot to the closed end spline thereby trapping the ring on the bolt shaft with the ears reciprocating in the closed end splines.

  • Publication number: 20040088439
Abstract: A system and method for operating on data within a network device is described. Between two data operations in a network device is a FIFO queue, which is used to separate the clock domains of the data operations. Data from the first operation is stored in the FIFO queue, which signals an indication to the second operation that there is data in the queue. When the second operation is signaled that there is data in the FIFO queue, it immediately begins reading data from the queue, and begins performing its prescribed operations on the data once it has read enough data from the queue for it to begin operating.
