  • Publication number: 20090249080
Abstract: A method, device and system for authenticating a programmable hardware device, such as a programmable hardware chip, and a command received by the programmable hardware device. A secure processor or other trusted source authenticates the programmable hardware chip by verifying, with the secure processor's own verification key, a random number sent to the programmable hardware chip and encrypted using a verification key embedded within the programmable hardware chip, since the nature of the encryption is such that only the original logic function that includes the verification key can encrypt the data correctly. A command received by the programmable hardware chip is authenticated by verifying that a command authentication token received by the programmable hardware chip is generated using the correct command authentication key and consequently verifying that the command is received from the secure processor, as only the party who has the command authentication key can encrypt the data correctly.

  • Publication number: 20090165111
Abstract: A method, device and system for securely managing debugging processes within a communication device, such as a set top box or other multimedia processing device. For example, a security processor (SP) within the communication device manages the lifetime (LT) of any access token issued for use in activating debugging privileges within the communication device. The security processor authenticates an issued access token and securely delivers appropriate debug authorization information to the device controller. The security processor uses its secure, internal timer to count down the lifetime and update the remaining lifetime of the issued access token during the processing of each command by the security processor. In addition to securely managing the issuance of the access token and it's remaining lifetime, the updating process reduces any impact on the normal communications within the device. The method overcomes the issue of the communication device not having a secure internal clock.

  • Publication number: 20090133560
Abstract: A desk-top paper punch includes a drawer for removable insertion into the base of the paper punch, the drawer serving as a collection receptacle for paper punches to be discarded. Once the drawer is near its capacity, the drawer is pulled out of the base for emptying. Means for viewing the contents of the drawer is provided. In one implementation, the view means is a transparent window which allows the viewer to know when the drawer in nearing its capacity for paper chips. In a second embodiment, the viewing means is at least one viewing aperture that perforates the top surface of the base of the paper punch that allows the user to view the drawer's contents.

  • Publication number: 20080314212
Abstract: The present invention discloses a tool holding module, wherein a hollow fixture seat and a hollow tool rod are integrated to form a holding module. A fixture head is arranged in the front of the fixture seat and enfolded by the tool rod, whereby the tool holding module of the present invention becomes more secure and robust and can maintain the concentricity between the fixture seat and the tool rod. Therefore, the present invention can prevent a tool from vibration, damage or falling off caused by insufficient concentricity or coupling force resulting from too great a length of the tool rod and can thus increase the machining precision and service life. Besides, the prevent invention also provides various assembly interfaces for different fixture seats and tool rods.

  • Publication number: 20080294158
Abstract: A flexible tip electrode for an ablation catheter and methods for making the same are disclosed. The electrode has a surface configuration that improves flexibility of the electrode. Also, the surface configuration may allow electrode lengthwise freedom of movement, such that the electrode may be shortened when pressed against the target tissue. A coil may be located in the electrode to bias the electrode toward a predetermined configuration.

  • Publication number: 20080249463
Abstract: A fluid delivery catheter configured to allow optimal fluid distribution through each electrode by varying the diameter of a catheter lumen is disclosed. Uniform or different fluid flow rates through longitudinally spaced apart elution holes may be achieved. Exemplary fluids for use with the catheter include a cooling fluid, a therapeutic fluid, and a medication.

  • Publication number: 20080249522
Abstract: An irrigated catheter with uniform cooling and/or uniform fluid distribution in longitudinally spaced apart elution holes by varying the diameter of a fluid delivery lumen. A number of elution holes are provided in a tip region of a catheter body, and these elution holes are in fluid communication with the lumen through ducts. The fluid deliver lumen has may provided with a flow constrictor to restrict flow of fluid towards the distal region.

  • Publication number: 20080224424
Abstract: A tool chucking apparatus to hold a machining cutter or tool includes a holding member and a fastening member that are coupled together to form a housing space inside to hold a clipping member in a tight manner. The coupled holding member, fastening member and clipping member form a threaded passage to hold the cutter or tool through the clipping member. The clipping member has a plurality of pawl structures which are spaced in an annular manner and formed in a conical structure. The conical structure has a top end directing towards the fastening member. The fastening member and the holding member have respectively a corresponding coupling structure. The fastening member further has an encasing portion extended towards the holding member.

  • Publication number: 20080224425
Abstract: A tool chucking apparatus includes a fastening member, a clipping member, a holding member and an extension member. The fastening member has a first housing space to hold the clipping member. The clipping member has pawl structures spaced in an annular manner and formed in a conical structure. The conical structure has a top end directing towards the fastening member. The extension member includes a support portion and an anchor portion coupled together. The support portion has another end tightly coupled with the clipping member and the fastening member. The anchor portion has another end tightly coupled with the holding member. The support portion is selectable at a desired length specification according to the cutter or tool. The fastening member, clipping member, holding member and extension member are hollow in the center thereof to form an installation passage after assembly to hold the cutter or tool.

  • Publication number: 20080219792
Abstract: The present invention is disclosed for stabilizing a connection between the tool gripper and a driving shaft on a processing machine to prevent the vibration produced during the tool gripper being turning in a high speed from influencing the precision of the processing. In the method, firstly, an origin is positioned, and a distance between the bottom of the tool gripper and the bottom of the driving shaft is measured. Then, a standard length from the bottom of the tool gripper to the top of the rejecting portion is subtracted from the obtained distance for acquiring the distance of an interval between the bottom of the driving shaft and the top of the rejecting portion. Finally, for filling, a sleeve ring conforming to the interval between the driving shaft and the rejecting portion is mounted between the driving shaft and the rejecting portion.
