  • Patent number: 11652500
Abstract: A container for communication devices and communication systems used in cellular networks. There is a need for resilient systems that can withstand extreme weather events. Cellular network infrastructure located close to coastal regions is particularly prone to disruptive failures. A container for an electronic communications device is also provided including: a housing that surrounds at least one mounting plate on which electrical devices and electronic devices are supported. The housing is received around a top edge by a recess in a top plate and around a bottom edge by a recess in a bottom plate. The top and bottom plates are clamped to seal the housing. In some embodiments the housing is connected to a sea borne infrastructure such as buoy. Node frames enable a communications infrastructure that has no single point of failure.

  • Publication number: 20230131565
Abstract: Provided are electrochemical cells including separators permeable to some materials and impermeable to other materials in electrolytes. Also provide are methods of forming such separators. The selective permeability of a separator is achieved by its specific pore diameter and a narrow distribution of this diameter. Specifically, a species responsible for ion transport in an electrochemical cell are allowed to pass through the separator, while another species is blocked thereby preventing degradation of the cell. For example, a species containing lithium ions is allowed to pass in rechargeable cells, while one or more species containing transition metals are blocked. In some embodiments, a separator may include a membrane layer with at least 90% of pores of this having a diameter of between about 0.1 nanometers and 1.0 nanometer. The membrane layer may be a standalone layer or supported by a membrane support.

  • Patent number: 11635499
Abstract: A system for compensating for phase noise, with particular application in lidar, includes a compensation interferometer that receives a signal from a source, and splits it into a first and second path, with a path length difference ?? between them. Typically the path length is significantly less than that of the return distance to a target. The output of the compensation interferometer, which consists of phase noise generated in time ?? is vectorially summed during a time similar to a signal flight time to a target, and the result used to reduce phase noise present on measurements of a target. It further includes means for selecting ?? such that competing noise elements are reduced or optimised.

  • Publication number: 20230118569
Abstract: A tool configured for use to assemble and install trim into a steam conditioning valve. These configurations can include a device that mounts in place of a bonnet and an actuator that technicians remove from the valve. The device can cantilever the trim assembly, essentially providing a platform on which technicians can slide the trim assembly into the valve body (or out of the valve body) to complete install or repair of the device. As an added benefit, technicians can also use the device to assemble the trim in proximity to the subject valve.

  • Publication number: 20230086237
Abstract: A patient interface can have features improving the comfort of use by reducing the perceived pressure of a nose-contacting cushion of the patient interface against the nose. The patient interface can have rigid headgear connection elements connectable to a frame of the respiratory interface. The rigid headgear connection elements can be shaped to reduce the force of the cushion against the nose. Headgear for a patient interface can also have features improving the stability of headgear of the head. The headgear can have a relatively rigid framework and a relatively pliable overlay covering the framework. The framework can have apertures defining a front portion to be positioned below or near the cheekbones, a rear portion to be positioned over the sides of the head around the ears, and a top portion to extend upward along the head towards the crown.

  • Publication number: 20230060775
Abstract: A cable tie application tool is described that includes an electro-mechanical tensioning system. When the electro-mechanical tensioning system is controlled by a processor to tighten a cable, a reactionary force through a drive nut that is pivotally mounted to a tension bar can be monitored and measured by a strain gauge, a load cell, or other sensing system. This reactionary force is an indication of tension on the cable tie and is monitored by the processor until the tension reaches a predetermined tension, at which point, the processor causes a motor in the tensioning system to stop increasing the tension on the cable tie. The processor activates a cut-off system to cut the cable tie that has been tightened to the predetermined tension.

  • Publication number: 20230051347
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage mediums described herein enable executable code of a hardware security platform (HSP) circuit to communicate with a hypervisor in a separate processor. The hypervisor generates and manages virtual machines. The HSP code comprises trusted platform module (TPM) logic, that processes TPM commands received via the hypervisor, and in response to the processing, communicates security information (e.g., measurements, keys, authorization data) with the virtual machines via the hypervisor. The TPM logic receives security information related to a virtual machine from the hypervisor and stores the security information in non-volatile memory of the HSP circuit, where security information from a particular VM is distinguishable from security information from another VM in the HSP memory.

  • Publication number: 20230043746
Abstract: A mask assembly or interface with a mask assembly includes a mask seal and a mask shell that supports the mask seal. In some configurations, the mask assembly is configured to be fully positioned lower than a bridge of a nose of a face of a user and to provide an exposed bridge of the nose of the user. The mask seal includes one or more features that decouple movement of the nasal portion and the oral portion to allow relative movement therebetween at least about a longitudinal axis extending in the front to back direction of the mask seal. In some configurations, an interface assembly includes a movement limiting arrangement that limits movement of the upper portion of the mask seal.

  • Patent number: 11545724
Abstract: A composite membrane with nanostructured inorganic and organic phases is applied as an ion-selective layer to prove processability, prevent dendrite shorting, and increase power output of lithium-metal anodes through better Li-ion conductivity. Nanoconfinement, as opposed to macroscale confinement, is known to dramatically alter the properties of bulk materials. Control over a ceramic's size, shape, and properties is achieved with polymer templates. This is a new composition of matter and unique approach to composite membrane design.

  • Publication number: 20220391510
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to firmware policy enforcement of a computing device. For example, a security processor of the computing device is utilized to boot the computing device. During a boot session, the security processor loads and executes specialized firmware. The specialized firmware, when executed, causes the security processor to determine whether other types of firmware to be executed on the computing device is in compliance with a policy specified by the specialized firmware. Based at least on a determination that the other firmware is in compliance with the policy, the security processor executes the other firmware. Based at least on a determination that the other firmware is not in compliance with the policy, the security processor performs a mitigation with respect to the other firmware.
