  • Patent number: 11356440
Abstract: Automated registration of one or more IoT devices seeking connection to one or more IoT platforms using a secure provisioning service. The secured provisioning service verifies and administers connection credentials to each IoT device, ensuring legitimate devices cannot be impersonated or controlled by unauthorized personnel. The provisioning service matches the IoT devices and metadata of each IoT device to the provisioning rules. Connection credentials and/or rules defining each IoT device's access to IoT platforms are based on the provisioning rules of the rules registry. Matching each IoT device to one or more provisioning rules offers flexibility to dynamically add, delete or amend one or more rules in a complex rules-based system, allowing for automatic updates to the connection credentials of each IoT device, wherein each IoT device can be provisioned or re-provisioned using the most up to date set of new or amended rules.

  • Patent number: 11351323
Abstract: A patient interface can have features improving the comfort of use by reducing the perceived pressure of a nose-contacting cushion of the patient interface, against the nose. The patient interface can have rigid headgear connection elements connectable to a frame of the respiratory interface. The rigid headgear connection elements can be shaped to reduce the force of the cushion against the nose. Headgear for a patient interface can also have features improving the stability of headgear of the head. The headgear can have a relatively framework and a relatively pliable overlay covering the framework. The rigid framework can have apertures defining a front portion to be positioned below or near the cheekbones, rear portion to be positioned over the sides of the head around the ears, and a top portion to extend upward along the head towards the crown.

  • Publication number: 20220160328
Abstract: A method of determining a measure of wave speed or intensity in a fluid conduit uses ultrasound measurements to determine the conduit diameter and fluid velocity in a volume element, each as a function of time, and each at a same longitudinal position of the conduit. The ultrasound measurement to determine fluid velocity is effected by tracking objects within the fluid flow in successive frames sampling the volume element, and obtaining displacement vectors for the objects. A wave speed may be determined from a ratio of the change in fluid velocity at the longitudinal position as a function of time and the change in a logarithmic function of the conduit diameter as a function of time. A measure of wave intensity may be determined as a function of change in determined conduit diameter and corresponding change in fluid velocity.

  • Patent number: 11309548
Abstract: A fluid flow plate having first and second fluid flow channels on a fluid flow plate with an active area of fluid flow fields having one or more arrays of fluid transfer points (301, 302, 303) disposed along an edge of the flow field for communicating fluid into or out of flow channels. A first and second distribution gallery (15, 16, 21) with peripheral edge portions bounded by the arrays including at least one pair of inlets in external edges of the fluid flow plate and wherein the first fluid distribution gallery is shaped such that the combined lengths of the first-gallery second peripheral edge portions are longer than the first-gallery first peripheral edge portion, and wherein the internal edges of the flow plate comprise edges of a hole, aperture, or port passing through the flow plate, and the external edges of the flow plate comprise an outer peripheral edge of the plate. The edges each may comprise a castellated structure (31, 32, 34).

  • Publication number: 20220100098
Abstract: A method of determining a characteristic of one or more processes for manufacturing features on a substrate, the method including: obtaining image data of a plurality of features on a least part of at least one region on a substrate; using the image data to obtain measured data of one or more dimensions of each of at least some of the plurality of features; determining a statistical parameter that is dependent on the variation of the measured data of one or more dimensions of each of at least some of the plurality of features; determining a probability of defective manufacture of features in dependence on a determined number of defective features in the image data; and determining the characteristic of the one or more processes to have the probability of defective manufacture of features and the statistical parameter.

  • Publication number: 20220087964
Abstract: Interpretation: This is the first ever report to uncover a tangible lipidomic basis by which maternal emotional well-being may influence fetal neurodevelopment and the later risk for psychopathology. This novel insight points to the potential utility of nutritional approaches among pregnant women with high levels of depressive symptoms in the prevention of offspring risk for later socio-emotional behavioral problems predictive of future psychopathology. Such a novel approach is particularly pertinent in light of the preference to avoid pharmacological interventions such as anti-depressant medications during pregnancy.

  • Publication number: 20220084417
Abstract: An artificially intelligent air traffic control system is provided. The system can include an artificially intelligent (AI) sensor configured to detect and remotely communicate with one or more flying vehicles and an AI local server communicatively coupled to the AI sensor. The artificially intelligent local server can send control instructions including authorization for the one or more flying vehicles to fly in an airspace and a flight path to fly through the airspace. The system can also include an AI cloud server communicatively coupled to the AI local server. The AI cloud server can receive data from the AI local server and the AI sensor associated with the one or more flying vehicles. The AI local server can send the authorization and the flight path to the one or more flying vehicles via the AI sensor based on the received data stored on the AI cloud server.

  • Publication number: 20220075276
Abstract: A method provides the steps of receiving an image from a metrology tool, determining individual units of said image and discriminating the units which provide accurate metrology values. The images are obtained by measuring the metrology target at multiple wavelengths. The discrimination between the units, when these units are pixels in said image, is based on calculating a degree of similarity between said units.

  • Patent number: 11262147
Abstract: A firearm safety device purposed to obstruct the chamber of a firearm to block insertion of a cartridge therein, effectively disabling the firearm. In embodiments, the firearm safety device comprises a plug and a key. The plug may be sized for fitting within the chamber of essentially any firearm. The plug may be inserted into and removed from the firearm through the breech end of the chamber, thereby lessening both wear on the plug and potential damage to the firearm resulting from plug insertion or removal. The key interacts with the plug for easy positioning of the plug within the chamber and pulling removal of the plug out from the breech end of the chamber. Unauthorized removal of the plug is difficult without the key. The safety device enables repeated cycling of the action and dry firing of the firearm enabling the firearm to be handled safely for uses such as for retail sale purposes and for firearm use and safety training.

  • Publication number: 20220057000
Abstract: A locking mechanism is configured to secure a seat on a valve. The configurations may include a pin with a tapered end. The pin extends into the valve body to engage with an engagement feature, like a slot, on the seat. The slot may reside on the downstream side of the seat. This location can provide ready access to the pin, for example, through various feature found on the valve body, such as a boss. For steam conditioning valves, the locking mechanism may prove useful because it allows the seat to easily remove from the valve body.
