  • Publication number: 20220382872
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to transferring the ownership of a computing device from one entity to another entity. For example, a security processor is utilized to boot the computing device. During a boot session, the security processor loads and executes boot code, which determines whether specialized firmware authorized by the current owner indicates whether a transfer of ownership is to occur. In response to determining that the specialized firmware indicates that a transfer of ownership is to occur, the secure processor loads and executes the specialized firmware. The specialized firmware, when executed, causes the security processor to program a set of fuses with the public key of the new owner. Execution of the specialized firmware also causes the security processor to invalidate the public key of the original owner, which is stored in another set of fuses.

  • Patent number: 11511894
Abstract: A cable tie application tool is described that includes an electro-mechanical tensioning system. When the electro-mechanical tensioning system is controlled by a processor to tighten a cable, a reactionary force through a drive nut that is pivotally mounted to a tension bar can be monitored and measured by a strain gauge, a load cell, or other sensing system. This reactionary force is an indication of tension on the cable tie and is monitored by the processor until the tension reaches a predetermined tension, at which point, the processor causes a motor in the tensioning system to stop increasing the tension on the cable tie. The processor activates a cut-off system to cut the cable tie that has been tightened to the predetermined tension.

  • Publication number: 20220346908
Abstract: Disclosed adjustable retaining arm systems can include a multi-segmented, articulable arm that holds one or more interchangeable tools and can be made relaxed to set a desired position and made rigid to fix the desired position by adjusting tension in a cable running through the arm. The arm can quickly attach and detach from a support structure. The support structure include a cable tensioning system, sensors, control system, power system, etc. A user input device, such as a foot pedal or button on the arm, can be used by a surgeon to change the arm between relaxed and rigid states. The arm and attachable tools can be detachable, disposable and/or sterilizable, while other system components can remain mounted in a fixed location as the arm is removed and replaced. The arm can hold multiple tools in any desired orientation around subject work location.

  • Patent number: 11473441
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a compressor section and a turbine section. A first spool is rotatable with a first turbine of the turbine section and a first compressor of the compressor section. Additionally, a second spool is rotatable with a second turbine of the turbine section and a second compressor of the compressor section. An electric machine is positioned at least partially inward of the core air flowpath of the gas turbine engine along a radial direction of the gas turbine engine. Additionally, the exemplary gas turbine engine includes a gear assembly mechanically coupled to both the first spool and the second spool, such that the first and second spools may each drive the electric machine.

  • Patent number: 11446183
Abstract: An ear cover assembly having a resilient frame attached to ear covers via a rotatable mounting located in an upper portion of the ear cover, the resilient frame being configured to apply clamping force to hold the ear covers in place over the wearer's ears and the geometry of the frame and rotational mounting being configured to distribute clamping force over the ear cover to hold the assembly in place when worn. Thus, the ear cover assembly can be supported in place by the rotationally mounted frame rather than a headband. The frame can be used to support elements such as eye protectors, visors, face masks, microphone etc.

  • Publication number: 20220280738
Abstract: An interface for positive pressure therapy includes a mask assembly. The mask assembly includes a mask seal that is adapted to underlie the nose. The mask seal extends up the lateral sides of the nose. The mask seal has a primary seal below the nose and a secondary seal alongside the nose. The mask seal includes a rolling hinge that permits one portion of the mask seal to deform relative to another portion of the mask seal. In one configuration, the portion of the mask seal that underlies the nose is configured to deform relative to a lower portion of the mask seal.

  • Patent number: 11419999
Abstract: A mask assembly or interface with a mask assembly includes a mask seal and a mask shell that supports the mask seal. In some configurations, the mask assembly is configured to be fully positioned lower than a bridge of a nose of a face of a user and to provide an exposed bridge of the nose of the user. The mask seal includes one or more features that decouple movement of the nasal portion and the oral portion to allow relative movement therebetween at least about a longitudinal axis extending in the front to back direction of the mask seal. In some configurations, an interface assembly includes a movement limiting arrangement that limits movement of the upper portion of the mask seal.

  • Patent number: 11394082
Abstract: Provided are electrochemical cells including separators permeable to some materials and impermeable to other materials in electrolytes. Also provide are methods of forming such separators. The selective permeability of a separator is achieved by its specific pore diameter and a narrow distribution of this diameter. Specifically, a species responsible for ion transport in an electrochemical cell are allowed to pass through the separator, while another species is blocked thereby preventing degradation of the cell. For example, a species containing lithium ions is allowed to pass in rechargeable cells, while one or more species containing transition metals are blocked. In some embodiments, a separator may include a membrane layer with at least 90% of pores of this having a diameter of between about 0.1 nanometers and 1.0 nanometer. The membrane layer may be a standalone layer or supported by a membrane support.
