  • Publication number: 20180295029
Abstract: Some examples relating to managing servers distributed across multiple groups are described. For example, techniques for managing servers it assigning an identified server to a group based on analysis of grouping information associated with the identified server. The grouping information includes an access credential and the group includes a set of severs with each server accessible by a common access credential. Further, the techniques include generating multiple node topology maps for the group based on topology characteristics. Each node topology map corresponds to a topology characteristic and indicates a layout and an interconnection between servers in the group. Also a node topology map is selected based on characteristic of an operation to be executed on the servers in the group. Thereafter, a message including an instruction for executing the operation is communicated to a server based on the selected node topology map.

  • Publication number: 20180270987
Abstract: A power electronics based system using natural, convection cooling, includes an enclosure housing a plurality of discrete components distributed in a vertical direction from a bottom portion to a top portion of the enclosure and having a heat density weighted average center at a first height along the vertical direction. There is a heat exchanger adjacent to the enclosure, including an inlet port and an outlet port in fluid communication with the enclosure. The heat exchanger has a vertical cooling average center at a second height. There is a cooling fluid disposed in the enclosure and in the heat exchanger to cool the discrete components. The discrete components are positioned in the vertical direction in the enclosure such that the first height of the heat density weighted average center along the vertical direction is below the second height of the vertical cooling average center of the heat exchanger.

  • Publication number: 20180152394
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to fabric cable emulation. Some examples disclosed herein include determining connection data associated with a connection between a fabric interface of a cluster node in a fabric cluster and a fabric switch. Based on the determined connection data, configuration parameters for the connection may be calculated and stored in a memory device on the cluster node. An interface signal may be asserted to the fabric interface of the cluster node after the calculated configuration parameters are stored to indicate that the cluster node is available in the fabric cluster.

  • Patent number: 9982582
Abstract: A cleaning system for reducing SOx and particulate matter in exhaust gases from a marine combustion engine, burner or boiler. The cleaning system comprises first and second scrubber process loops having first and second scrubber, respectively, and first and second water circulation tanks, respectively. Water from the first tank is evaporated to water vapor inside the first scrubber by contact with the exhaust gases, whereby the water vapor and the exhaust gases form humid exhaust gases. The humid exhaust gases are transferred to the second scrubber, wherein water from the second tank condensates the water vapor in the humid exhaust gases. A reflux of water from the second scrubber process loop to the first scrubber process loop is provided. At least 60% and more preferred at least 90% of a total amount of alkaline agent supplied to the cleaning system is supplied to the second scrubber process loop.

  • Patent number: 9944447
Abstract: A valve device for a packaging configured to hold a product releasing a gas. The valve device comprises, in an embodiment, a first inner film provided with a first opening and a second outer film covering the first opening. Between the first inner and the second outer film a first chamber is provided. The first opening provides a gas communication between the first chamber and the interior of the packaging. The first and second films define a channel being in fluid communication with the first chamber. Further, the valve device comprises a second chamber, and the channel connects the first and second chamber. The second chamber comprises a second opening being in fluid communication with the exterior of the packaging. At least one of the first and second chambers comprises a liquid and at least one spacer.

  • Patent number: 9903756
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided that minimize the effects of dark-current pulses. For example, in one embodiment of the invention, a method is provided where a first pixel is struck (i.e., a primary pixel). Pixels struck within a fixed time frame after the primary pixel is struck are referred to as secondary pixels. After a short fixed time frame has expired, the number of primary and secondary pixels is added. If the count exceeds a threshold, the primary pixel was activated by the first (or early) photon from a true gamma event. If the threshold is not met then it is likely the primary pixel generated a dark pulse that should be ignored.

  • Patent number: 9868575
Abstract: The present invention is related to flexible multilayer laminates having an integrated, one-way pressure-release valve for use in a sealed container for packing gas-producing products. The pressure-release valve is partly disconnected from the rest of the laminate, forming an inflatable outlet tube with at least one large outlet opening and lifting off from the laminate under increased pressure in the pack. The one-way pressure-release valve allows for pressure release at low minimum opening pressure in a reliable and reproducible way.
