  • Patent number: 11099560
Abstract: A system and method for operation of an autonomous vehicle (AV) yard truck is provided. A processor facilitates autonomous movement of the AV yard truck, and connection to and disconnection from trailers. A plurality of sensors are interconnected with the processor that sense terrain/objects and assist in automatically connecting/disconnecting trailers. A server, interconnected, wirelessly with the processor, that tracks movement of the truck around and determines locations for trailer connection and disconnection. A door station unlatches/opens rear doors of the trailer when adjacent thereto, securing them in an opened position via clamps, etc. The system computes a height of the trailer, and/or if landing gear of the trailer is on the ground and interoperates with the fifth wheel to change height, and whether docking is safe, allowing a user to take manual control, and optimum charge time(s). Reversing sensors/safety, automated chocking, and intermodal container organization are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20210238063
Abstract: A tubular membrane is provided with a vortex generator at an upstream end of the tubular membrane. A spacer with multiple vortex generators may be added to module having a plurality of tubular membranes. A cap over the spacer may have separate inlets for a feed water and gas mixture and recirculating retentate. A system for membrane filtration includes a tubular membrane, a vortex generator, a liquid pump, a gas pump, and a retentate recirculation loop. In a filtration process, a gas is pumped into a flow of a feed liquid to produce a two-phase flow wherein the liquid is the continuous phase. The two-phase flow passes through the vortex generator and through a lumen of the tubular membrane. A continuous gas phase forms in part of the lumen of the tubular membrane. Contaminants in the liquid may be biased towards the continuous gas phase.

  • Patent number: 11080484
Abstract: Electronic records are accessed from computer storage for a given subject, wherein the electronic records include natural language notes about the subject. Tokens are identified in the natural language notes. For each token, a corresponding intensity score is generated representing an intensity of match between the token and a particular dimension, wherein the intensity scores are each values on a first scale, wherein each dimension is one of a plurality of dimensions of a category out of a plurality of categories; generating rescaled-intensity scores from the intensity scores by rescaling the intensity scores from the first scale to a second scale different from the first scale. For each dimension of each category, a dimension-score is compiled based on the intensity scores; and categorizing the subject into at least one category based on the dimension scores. The subject is categorized into at least one category based on the dimension scores.

  • Patent number: 11065385
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems that include a flow probe that senses fluid flow or mass flow of fluid delivery to a patient. Based at least in part on the sensed fluid or mass flow, the flow probe provides flow-related data (e.g., volume or mass flow rate) that the system uses to derive a volume of fluid being delivered. The fluid can be delivered from an IV bag, another in-line port, or a combination of the two. The disclosed systems provide fluid volume and/or fluid rate for display to a clinician and an informative understanding of what volume of fluid/mass a patient has received.

  • Publication number: 20210191940
Abstract: A system enables an arbitrary number of items to be indexed in a geographic region that provides a predictable query response time across a sharded database. Items indexed to the geographic region are stored on a single shard and additional items are added to that shard as long as an overflow condition indicative of undesirable query response times is not met. If the overflow condition is met the system expands the storage of items indexed to the geographic region to one or more additional shards in order to maintain predictable query response times. The system may maintain a shard count representing the total number of shards being used to store items corresponding to a geographic region, which can be used to query one or more relevant shards. The system may apply deterministic hashing in order to evenly distribute shards across database nodes of the sharded database.

  • Publication number: 20210187391
Abstract: An augmented reality system generates computer-mediated reality on a client device. The client device has sensors including a camera configured to capture image data of an environment. The augmented reality system generates a first 3D map of the environment around the client device based on captured image data. The server receives image data captured from a second client device in the environment and generates a second 3D map of the environment. The server links the first and second 3D together in a singular 3D map. The singular 3D map may be a graphical representation of the real world using nodes that represent 3D maps generated by image data captured at client devices and edges that represent transformations between the nodes.

  • Publication number: 20210194794
Abstract: A dataflow hierarchy protocol is implemented by one or more devices to optimize how the one or more devices process datagrams for network communications. The dataflow hierarchy considers various available network pathways for dataflow. A device implementing the dataflow hierarchy selects one or more of the available network pathways to provide low latency in data communication with other devices. The device may sample various available network pathways to determine pathway metrics (e.g., latency) and select one or more network pathways based on the metrics. The available network pathways can include pathways through one or more intermediary nodes, such as pathways through a game server, pathways through a cell tower, and pathways through a network.

  • Patent number: 11042971
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for medical imaging with distortion correction. One example includes obtaining distorted image data of a subject brain, the distorted image data comprising a time series of three-dimensional image tensors generated at least in part from an echo planar imaging session of the subject brain. A derived three-dimensional tensor is derived from the distorted image data. A non-rigid alignment function to non-rigidly align the derived three-dimensional tensor to a reference tensor is determined, producing a non-rigidly aligned derived 3D tensor. A rigid alignment function to rigidly align the non-rigidly aligned derived 3D tensor to the reference tensor is determined. Distortion-corrected image data is created by applying the rigid alignment function and the non-rigid alignment function to the time series of three-dimensional image tensors.
