  • Patent number: 12029173
Abstract: An irrigation system comprises an irrigation controller that receives user input and provides a power signal and command and message data to an encoder. The encoder encodes the command and message data onto the power signal to provide a data encoded power waveform that is sent over a two-wire path. The irrigation system further comprises one or more decoders in communication with the two-wire path to receive the data encoded power waveform and one or more irrigation valves in communication with the one or more decoders. The data encoded power waveform provides power to the decoders and the decoders decode the command and message data from the data encoded power waveform to control the irrigation valves according to the user input.

  • Publication number: 20240211096
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to assigning dynamic eye-gaze dwell-times. Dynamic dwell-times may be tailored to the individual user. For example, a dynamic dwell-time system may be configured to receive data from the user, such as the duration of time the user takes to execute certain actions within applications (e.g., read a word suggestion before actually selecting it). The dynamic dwell-time system may also prevent users from making unintended selections by providing different dwell times for different buttons. Specifically, on a user interface, longer dwell times may be established for the critical keys (e.g., “close” program key, “send” key, word suggestions, and the like) and shorter dwell times may be established for the less critical keys (e.g., individual character keys on a virtual keyboard, spacebar, backspace, and the like).

  • Publication number: 20240196501
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to transmit a data encoded power signal to addressable devices. A lighting controller sends the data encoded power waveform to a plurality of addressable lighting modules to power and control illumination intensity of lighting. The lighting modules are configured to receive the data encoded power signal via a two-wire communication network, decode illumination intensity data from the data encoded power signal, and generate a PWM signal responsive to the decoded illumination intensity data. The lighting modules use the data encoded power signal as a time base to synchronize the PWM signal to the data encoded power signal to reduce flickering when applying the PWM signal to control the illumination intensity of LEDs associated with the lighting modules.

  • Publication number: 20240192386
Abstract: A terrestrial positioning system includes a mobile terrestrial transmitter including a local clock source and an inertial measurement unit, and a synchronization master including a memory configured to store initially known positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter. The terrestrial transmitter determines altered positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter using the first IMU and broadcasting a positioning signal including a timestamp. The synchronization master calculates an expected time of flight of the received positioning signal based on the determined altered positioning information and the stored initially known positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter, to determine a first deviation of the actual time of flight determined from the timestamp and the actual reception time of the received positioning signal with respect to the calculated expected time of flight and to instruct the terrestrial transmitter to delay or prepone the broadcast of the positioning signal.

  • Patent number: 12008159
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for predicting an eye gaze location of an operator of a computing device. In particular, the method generates an image grid that includes regions of interest based on a facial image. The facial image is based on a received image frame of a video stream that captures the operator using the computing device. The image grid further includes a region that indicate rotation information of the face. The method further uses a combination of trained neural networks to extract features of the regions of interest in the image grid and predict the eye gaze location on the screen of the computing device. The trained set of neural networks includes a convolutional neural network. The method optionally generate head pose pitch, roll, and yaw information to improve accuracy of predicting the location of an eye gaze.

  • Patent number: 11998335
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for collecting eye-gaze data for training an eye-gaze prediction model. The collecting includes selecting a scan path that passes through a series of regions of a grid on a screen of a computing device, moving a symbol as an eye-gaze target along the scan path, and receiving facial images at eye-gaze points. The eye-gaze points are uniformly distributed within the respective regions. Areas of the regions that are adjacent to edges and corners of the screen are smaller than other regions. The difference in areas shifts centers of the regions toward the edges, density of data closer to the edges. The scan path passes through locations in proximity to the edges and corners of the screen for capturing more eye-gaze points in the proximity. The methods interactively enhance variations of facial images by displaying instructions to the user to make specific actions associated with the face.

  • Patent number: 12002482
Abstract: This application relates to methods and apparatus for transfer of multiple digital data streams, especially of digital audio data over a single communications link such as a single wire. The application describes audio interface circuitry comprising a pulse-length-modulation (PLM) modulator. The PLM is responsive to a plurality of data streams (PDM-R, PDM-L), to generate a series of data pulses (PLM) with a single data pulse having a rising and falling edge in each of a plurality of transfer periods defined by a first clock signal (TCLK). The timing of the rising and falling edge of each data pulse is dependent upon a combination of the then current data samples from the plurality of data streams. The duration and position of the data pulse in the transfer window in effect defines a data symbol encoding the data. Circuitry for receiving and extracting the data is also disclosed.
