  • Patent number: 12193123
Abstract: A lighting system includes control adapters and a lighting controller that sends commands and data over an AC power line to power and control the lamps associated with the control adapters. Lighting themes are uniquely programmable color and intensity that are applied to a collection of control adapters to achieve different lighting modes instantly, without the delay that programming each control adapter individually incurs. The plurality of control adapters receive theme lighting information over the power line and store the theme information in memory. The lighting controller sends a single command to the collections of the control adapter groups to apply the theme or a multiple of themes to run in sequence as a pattern. Each control adapter retrieves and applies the theme information associated with the pattern.

  • Publication number: 20250001105
Abstract: Provided is a blister pack for a dry powder inhaler, which dry powder inhaler is configured to deliver a first powder medicament and a second powder medicament different from the first powder medicament. The first and second powder medicaments are contained within blister pockets defined in a strip. A series of blister pockets is defined in the strip, which series extends linearly along the length of the strip. The first and second powder medicaments are contained in blister pockets, e.g. respective blister pockets, of the series. Alternatively or additionally, each of the blister pockets is elongated such as to have a largest dimension parallel with the length of the strip. These measures, either individually or in combination, enable minimizing of the width of the strip in spite of the strip accommodating both the first and second powder medicaments.

  • Publication number: 20250006851
Abstract: A bipolar solar cell includes a backside junction formed by an N-type silicon substrate and a P-type polysilicon emitter formed on the backside of the solar cell. An antireflection layer may be formed on a textured front surface of the silicon substrate. A negative polarity metal contact on the front side of the solar cell makes an electrical connection to the substrate, while a positive polarity metal contact on the backside of the solar cell makes an electrical connection to the polysilicon emitter. An external electrical circuit may be connected to the negative and positive metal contacts to be powered by the solar cell. The positive polarity metal contact may form an infrared reflecting layer with an underlying dielectric layer for increased solar radiation collection.

  • Patent number: 12181590
Abstract: A terrestrial positioning system includes a mobile terrestrial transmitter including a local clock source and an inertial measurement unit, and a synchronization master including a memory configured to store initially known positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter. The terrestrial transmitter determines altered positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter using the first IMU and broadcasting a positioning signal including a timestamp. The synchronization master calculates an expected time of flight of the received positioning signal based on the determined altered positioning information and the stored initially known positioning information of the terrestrial transmitter, to determine a first deviation of the actual time of flight determined from the timestamp and the actual reception time of the received positioning signal with respect to the calculated expected time of flight and to instruct the terrestrial transmitter to delay or prepone the broadcast of the positioning signal.

  • Publication number: 20240400397
Abstract: Described herein is a hybrid pattern ablated onto the surface of anodes and cathodes used for batteries (e.g., Li-ion batteries) using an ultrafast laser. The hybrid pattern incorporated channels and a hexagonally tessellated pore network. The former is used to enhance electrode wetting during cell fabrication while the latter dramatically enhances the fast-charge capabilities of the battery. The ideal pattern was determined by a genetic algorithm and a multi-physics model was used to refine the pattern dimensions to optimize electrochemical performance.

  • Publication number: 20240404722
Abstract: An x-ray scanning system, and corresponding method, includes an x-ray source that produces incident x-ray radiation having end-point x-ray energy, which, in various embodiments, can be greater than about 200 keV, between about 200 keV and about 500 keV, or greater than about 500 keV. The system also includes a disk chopper wheel that can be irradiated by and attenuate the incident x-ray radiation. The disk chopper wheel further defines one or more slits configured to pass the incident x-ray radiation through the disk chopper wheel for scanning a target. In some embodiments, the high end-point x-ray energies with disk chopper wheels are facilitated by forming the incident x-ray radiation as a collimated fan beam and/or orienting the chopper wheel with a wheel plane substantially non-perpendicular to a fan beam plane, increasing effective thickness of a disk chopper wheel to attenuate incident x-rays of higher energies.
