  • Patent number: 4883472
Abstract: An exchangeable prefilled syringe (4) is arranged in the front part (2) of the device. In the rear part (1), a gear mechanism (3) is arranged, the drive member of which is a driving sleeve (10) provided with a manipulating head (11), and the driven member of which is a threaded rod (12) mounted non-rotationally but longitudinally displaceably in the driving sleeve. The threaded rod (12) is seated in the female thread (22) of a gear element (20) which can be advanced, by exerting pressure on the manipulating head (11) in the axial longitudinal direction from a rest position into an end position against the force of a spring (26).

  • Patent number: 4839710
Abstract: A CMOS technology cell which can be formed as a resistor, a capacitor, a resistor capacitor combination or a load impedance in a gate array wherein a basic cell is replaced by a special cell which has the same geometrical dimensions as the special cell. The special cell contains a pair of transistors (Tr1 and Tr2) with channels KP, KN of the transistors which are narrow but have long lengths. The transistors are arranged laterally to the source and drain of the transistors and due to the long channel length of each transistors, the transistors can be used as a resistor having a substantial resistance value. Also, the gate capacitance can be used as a high value capacitor thus allowing the special cells to provide resistance, capacitance, RC or load impedance for the other cells.

  • Patent number: 4713568
Abstract: A motor and a transmission housing are coupled by providing each with a housing face and clamping the housings together with a plastic seal disposed between the faces. Supply lines to the motor pass through an opening in the motor housing and are provided with an integral feedthrough which is molded or otherwise secured to the seal.

  • Patent number: 4676769
Abstract: The pressure of compressed air in one or more nozzles which convert successive increments of a running tow of filamentary filter material into a rodlike filler in a filter rod making machine is regulated in response to variations in the speed of the filler. This ensures that the resistance which the filter rod sections offer the flow of tobacco smoke does not deviate from an optimum value when the speed of the filler is reduced below the nominal speed. The pressure of air which is admitted to the nozzle or nozzles is regulated by a variable-speed blower which compresses air preparatory to admission into the nozzle or nozzles, or by installing in the conduit or conduits for one or more nozzles a pressure regulating valve which is adjusted by a servomotor in response to signals denoting the speed of the filler.

  • Patent number: 4585439
Abstract: A driver sleeve (8) is pivoted in the casing (1) of the unit which is driven by a motor controlled by a control device and supplied by a battery. A threaded rod (11) forming the piston rod of an injection ampule (15) is placed into the driver sleeve (8) in a non-rotary but longitudinally shiftable fashion. A nut (21) provided with an external toothing (20) is rigidly held on the rear end of the injection ampule (15) in the casing (1). A connecting part (27) provided with a catheter (32) receives the outlet piece (30) of the injection ampule (15) and is screwed to the casing (1) so that the exchangeable injection ampule (15) is completely surrounded by the casing (1) and the connecting part (27) and the outlet piece (30), resting close to the connecting part (27), of the injection ampule (15) communicates with the catheter (32).

  • Patent number: 4396978
Abstract: In a data processing system comprising at least two microcomputers, one microcomputer (1) serves as a master to control the or each other microcomputer (2, 3 respectively) as a slave. In order to improve that utilization of the system the bus (4) of the master serves as a common bus and each slave has associated with it a buffer memory (5, 6 respectively) for the intermediate storage and transmission of data. The buffer memory can be connected, by means of an associated switching device (7, 8 respectively), alternately to the bus (9, 10, respectively) of the slave and to the common bus thereby switching the address field constituted by the buffer memory into the address space of the slave and into the address space of the master respectively. Furthermore, each slave has associated with it two interconnected input/output interfaces (11, 12 and 13, 14 respectively which serve for transmission of status signals concerning the master of the relevant slave.

  • Patent number: 4345530
Abstract: Disclosed is an installation for burning-out scrap metal goods for the purpose of reclaiming scrap metal, comprising at least one furnace wagon, which is capable of being loaded with the scrap metal goods to by burned out; at least one burning-out chamber into which the furnace wagon is movable for burning-out the scrap metal goods to produce scrap steel; means for heating the burning-out chamber to a temperature of at least about 600.degree. C.; at least one afterburning chamber communicating with the burning-out chamber for afterburning flue gases produced in the burning-out chamber at a temperature from about 1100.degree. to 1200.degree. C.; a waste gas purifying plant communicating with the afterburning chamber for eliminating the flue gas impurities and for the scrubbing of the flue-gases originating from the afterburning chamber; and at least one cooling chamber arranged adjacent to and in selective communication with the burning-out chamber for cooling the burned-out material.

  • Patent number: 4016230
Abstract: The invention relates to the production of an article such as a pallet by a vacuum moulding technique in which a substantially two dimensional array of reinforcement elements is supported above a vacuum forming table on a first section or sections of said table movable upwards from a second section or sections of said table, a hot sheet of thermoplastic material being positioned over said reinforcement array and drawn down and around underneath said reinforcement by the application of a vacuum applied through said second section or sections, said first section or sections then being retracted to a position substantially flush with said second section or sections once said thermoplastic material is capable of supporting said reinforcement above said second section or sections and said vacuum then drawing said thermoplastic material down and around underneath said reinforcement elements above said first section or sections.
