Patent number: 8655462Abstract: In a method for analyzing the driving accuracy of a golfer, the number of fairway hits and the severity level of the number of fairway misses is adjusted based on a course rating and slope rating of the current and average courses in a database. An adjusted total stroke cost is applied to a driving accuracy handicap lookup table to produce a driving accuracy handicap. This handicap is graphically displayed to the user by itself, or compared to the driving accuracy handicap of users of the same or similar skill level. Finally, a hole-by-hole analysis can be graphically displayed to give a graphic representation of where the golfer needs improvement.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2010Date of Patent: February 18, 2014Inventor: Peter Sanders

Patent number: 8574391Abstract: The invention relates to a method for joining precured stringers to at least one structural component of an aircraft or spacecraft. A vacuum arrangement required for the joining is produced in two parts. In a first step, each precured stringer is covered in advance by a covering vacuum film. The stringers prepared in this manner are arranged on the structural component. Vacuum film strips are subsequently arranged in each case on adjacent stringers and over an intermediate space between the adjacent stringers. With the use of a vacuum sealing means, the vacuum film strips and the covering vacuum films 8 form a continuous vacuum arrangement. The stringers are subsequently joined under pressurization to the structural component with the use of this vacuum arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2007Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Assignee: Airbus Operations GmbHInventors: Peter Sander, Hans Marquardt, Hauke Lengsfeld

Publication number: 20130159285Abstract: A pattern can be identified in at least part of a query whose definition is received in a query request. The identified pattern can be matched with a set of pre-defined patterns, each of which has associated therewith at least one pre-compiled query execution sub-component of a plurality of pre-compiled query execution sub-components retained in a library. A plan for executing the query can be generated, for example by incorporating the pre-compiled query execution sub-component associated with the matched pattern into the plan based on a pseudo code representation of the plan derived from the definition.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2011Publication date: June 20, 2013Inventors: Jonathan Dees, Peter Sanders, Franz Faerber, Jochen Seidel

Patent number: 8327061Abstract: A digital data storage device physically stores blocks of identical data only once on its storage medium wherein a second or even further identical blocks are stored only as reference referring to the first block of these identical blocks. By this technique, storage of duplicate data is most effectively avoided on the lowest storage level of the disk storage device, even in cases where identical blocks are written by different operating Systems. In the preferred embodiment, the underlying storage medium (magnetic hard disk, optical disk, tape, or M-RAM) is segmented into two areas, the first area particularly comprising a relatively small block reference table and the remaining physical storage area for storing real blocks of information.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2010Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Manfred Boldy, Peter Sander, Hermann Stamm-Wilbrandt

Publication number: 20110308714Abstract: A forming tool with a predefined mould portion is provided in a method for producing a reinforced fibre composite component for aviation and aerospace. A forming/support element is moulded by means of the mould portion of the forming tool. A semi-finished fibre product is then deposited at least in portions on the shaped forming/support element. The deposited semi-finished fibre product is deformed by means of the forming/support element to form at least one reinforcing portion. The forming/support element is then removed from the forming tool together with the reinforcing section formed on this element, followed by defined positioning of the reinforcing section thus formed with respect to an associated fibre composite component portion by supporting with the forming/support element. The reinforcing portion is cured to form the reinforced fibre composite component. A forming device is provided with a predefined mould portion which holds a forming/support element such that it can be removed.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 13, 2009Publication date: December 22, 2011Applicant: AIRBUS OPERATIONS GMBHInventors: Peter Sander, Hauke Lengsfeld, Hans Marquardt

Patent number: 7771557Abstract: The invention relates to a method for joining an uncured stringer to a structural component of an aircraft or spacecraft. The uncured stringer is supplied with at least one joining section and at least one web section. A rapidly curing low-temperature auxiliary material is deposited on web flanks of the at least one web section, which are to be supported. The at least one joining section of the uncured stringer is fitted to the structural component. Curing of the auxiliary material then takes place at a first curing temperature in order to form cured supporting elements for the web flanks of the at least one web section, which are to be supported. Curing of the uncured stringer is undertaken at a second curing temperature which is greater than the first precuring/curing temperature, and then the deposited and cured auxiliary material is removed.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2007Date of Patent: August 10, 2010Assignee: Airbus Deutschland GmbHInventors: Peter Sander, Hans Marquardt, Hauke Lengsfeld
