  • Publication number: 20050127288
Abstract: The invention relates to the identification of substance ions, which are usually generated by electro spray ionization after separation by liquid chromatography or capillary electrophoresis, with the help of libraries with mass spectra. The substance ions are frequently formed not only in a protonated (or deprotonated) form but also as adducts with cations or anions, a fact which complicates identification. The invention involves making identification more accurate by additionally carrying out a determination of the most probable molar mass with the help of adduct patterns.

  • Publication number: 20050029401
Abstract: A hollow structural component suitable for an aircraft structure includes an inner framework of intersecting longitudinal and transverse ribs, cover sheets covering the top and bottom of the framework, and end closure sheets covering ends of the framework. The transverse ribs have slots to receive the intersecting longitudinal ribs and vice versa, so the ribs intermesh in a grid pattern. Top and bottom edges of the ribs have protruding connector tabs that are fitted into slots provided in the cover sheets. Additional connector tabs at the ends of the transverse ribs are fitted into slots in the end closure sheets. After the parts are assembled by intermeshing the longitudinal and transverse ribs and fitting the connector tabs of the ribs into the slots of the cover sheets and end closure sheets, the resulting plugged-in joints are permanently mechanically secured, e.g. by welding, brazing, soldering or adhesive bonding.

  • Publication number: 20040057966
Abstract: This invention relates to recA mutant mycobacteria, particularly mutants of mycobacterial species which are members of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, such as M. bovis BCG and M. tuberculosis. These mutant mycobacteria are useful as immunotherapteutic agents and vaccines for the treatment of a range of disorders, including tuberculosis.

  • Publication number: 20020127934
Abstract: A tufted backing and a method of manufacturing a tufted backing from thermoplastic polymer fibers or filaments that are processed to yield a spunbonded nonwoven are described, the spunbonded nonwoven containing only fibers or filaments having a titer of 1 to 15 dtex, the mass per unit area of the tufted backing being 70 to 110 g/m2, its density being 0.18 to 0.28 g/cm3 and the 5% modulus value in the machine direction being >60 N/5 cm, but at least 0.6 N/gm2.

  • Patent number: 5953725
Abstract: The invention concerns multimedia kiosk (newsstand) systems where single system units are interconnected via a telecommunication network. The objective is to enable updating of all information and/or the network interconnection structure between the system units during run-time.The invention solves this problem, by common dynamic management of both the configuration data and the information contents in an object-oriented database. The provision of all system functionalities as an object-oriented database enables the kiosk contents in an individual kiosk to be updated, or configuration data, e.g. network addresses to be notified-during run-time. For updating it is only necessary to transfer a so-called "version file" at a particular point in time to one or more terminals via the network. The database operations indicated in the version file are then executed at the terminal in the background, step by step.
