  • Patent number: 10837874
Abstract: A method for evaluating load performance of a rotor/stator test coupon tested within a sealable test chamber containing test fluid. The test coupon preferably includes at least a partial length of a PDM stage. Alternatively, the test coupon may include a splined rotor/stator. The method includes rotating either the rotor section or the stator section in order to actuate corresponding rotation of the other of the rotor section and the stator section. Non-linear torque in the form of an acceleration torque and/or a braking torque may be applied to either the rotor section or the stator section. Downhole stall conditions may be simulated by selectively engaging and disengaging a second motor and flywheel to vary rotational torque applied to the test coupon. Load performance of the test coupon may be evaluated over time in such simulated stall conditions.

  • Patent number: 10817932
Abstract: A system and method for dynamically discounting trade debt through the use of a forward auction is provided. In one example, a system that allows a seller to auction inventory to a plurality of bidders. According to this embodiment, the system may determine eligibility for acceptance of bids submitted by the bidders and a plurality of bids may be determined to be eligible for acceptance. Further, a margin by which the bids are acceptable may be determined and a representation of the margin may be communicated. In another example, a method is provided for discounting debt using an auction system. According to this embodiment, a seller may configure an auction event with auction parameters, such as hurdle rates, that will best serve the goals of the auction. The seller may alter event parameters while the event is ongoing, thus further enhancing the ability of the seller to meet auction objectives.

  • Patent number: 10810110
Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to a method and system for testing software products or services using a behavior-driven development domain specific language (DSL) framework. The framework identifies one or more input payloads for testing a software product or service that comprises a Web service, wherein the software product or service operates on one or more application servers and normalizes data or information, at the test framework, in at least the one or more input payloads into normalized data or information. The framework recursively tests one or more components of the software product or service and generates results of testing the one or more components of the software product or service.

  • Patent number: 10801359
Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying rub events of a gas turbine engine are provided. In one exemplary aspect, one or more power level changes of the turbine engine are identified from engine operating data. For a particular identified power level change, a magnitude of the power level change and a rate of the power level change are calculated. The calculated magnitude and rate of the given power level change define a data point that is plotted on a chart of the magnitude versus the rate of power level change. The data points are filtered based on one or more operating parameters, such as flight phase, to obtain a severity threshold specific to the operating conditions of the engine/aircraft at the time the power level change was performed. One or more data points are then compared to the severity threshold to identify possible rub events.

  • Patent number: 10758918
Abstract: A magnet cleaner cooperates with one or more permanent magnets positioned over a conveyer carrying pieces of metal in non-ferrous material so as to remove the metal from the non-ferrous material. The magnet cleaner includes a frame and a capture sheet mounted to the frame and positioned on the frame so as to be substantially flush with the permanent magnets when they are in their lowered positioned. The magnets are spaced by an attenuation distance from the capture sheet when they are in their raised position. The permanent magnets, which may be mounted in a housing, are positionably mounted on the frame so as to be selectively elevatable between their lowered and raised positions upon actuation of an actuator. The actuator is positioned so as to cooperate with the permanent magnets and the frame so as to raise or lower the magnets relative to the capture sheet.

  • Publication number: 20200271167
Abstract: A ball-CV style transmission suitable for use in a Positive Displacement Motor (PDM). A shaft provides shaft wings received into housing receptacles on a housing. A ball and a Torque Transfer Element (TTE) is interposed between each shaft wing and housing within each housing receptacle, with the ball received into opposing recesses preferably on the shaft wing and the TTE. The TTEs float within their corresponding housing receptacles so as to maintain torque transfer contact between all thrust surfaces during articulated rotation of the shaft with respect to the housing. The TTEs preferably float generally radially towards the shaft centerline as angular deflection increases during articulated rotation.
