  • Publication number: 20220205445
Abstract: Rotary positive displacement machines based on trochoidal geometry and including a helical rotor that undergoes planetary motion relative to a helical stator can be designed and configured so that the axial load or rotor pressure force is positive, negative, or neutral. In some embodiments, a change in axial load, caused by a change in differential pressure across the machine, can be used to trigger a change in a mechanical configuration of the machine.

  • Publication number: 20220207796
Abstract: A method of automatically processing geospatial data is implemented by apparatus including a processor, storage and memory. Base geospatial data is obtained relating to plots of land and buildings, and first geospatial data is identified describing a first real-world plot of land and second geospatial data is identified describing a first real-world building standing on it, the building having an unknown real-world orientation. Using the second geospatial data, a first polygon is created that encompasses the building. Using the first geospatial data, a portion polygon is identified that is not in the first polygon, which defines a portion of the plot of land. Its orientation with respect to the real-world orientation of the building is identified. The portion polygon and data relating to the portion of the plot of land are stored for display.

  • Patent number: 11286973
Abstract: An automatic carabiner gate locking system and method of operation. The system includes a frame, a gate, a gate biasing system, and a gate locking system. The gate locking system further includes a set of rotatable latching sleeves disposed over the gate. When the gate is in the closed state, the latching sleeves independently rotate between an unlocked state in which the gate is free to pivot and a locked state in which the gate may be prevented from pivoting with respect to the frame. The locked state further includes rotationally orienting the latching sleeves over the gate frame coupling region. The unlocked state further includes rotationally separating the latching sleeves to expose a locking recess over the gate recess, thereby allowing the gate to pivot. A second embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of automatically locking a carabiner gate.

  • Publication number: 20220085887
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for encoding information using optical components are described. Information associated with a first optical signal (e.g., an optical pump) is encoded onto the phase of a second optical signal (e.g., an optical probe) using cross phase modulation (XPM) in a non-linear optical medium. The optical signals are multiplexed together into the nonlinear optical medium. The probe experiences a modified index of refraction as it propagates through the medium and thus accumulates a phase change proportional to the intensity of the pump. The disclosed devices can be incorporated into larger components and systems for various applications such as scientific diagnostics, radar, remote sensing, wireless communications, and quantum computing that can benefit from encoding and generation of low noise, high resolution signals.

  • Publication number: 20220076010
Abstract: A method of generating text features from a document comprises one or more processors grouping text comprised in the document into multiple logical text blocks, wherein each of the logical text blocks comprises one or more tokens. One of the logical text blocks is selected for generating features. Thereafter, logical text blocks neighbouring the selected logical block are identified. Further, the processer qualifies one or more of the neighbouring logical text blocks for generating features. The processor generates features for one or more of the tokens in the selected logical block using the qualified logical text blocks.

  • Patent number: 11240117
Abstract: A services platform acts as an intermediary between an existing enterprise analytic environment, and one or more underlying cloud service providers. The platform provides enterprise “big data-as-a-service,” by which an enterprise can seamlessly and easily provision new capacity for processing its analytic workload, and migrate data sources (e.g., data warehouse marts, enterprise data warehouses, analytic sandboxes, and the like) to the cloud for processing. The platform provides end-to-end enterprise class manageability of enterprise data assets, from data collection, aggregation, movement, staging and processing, all while providing service levels, security, access and governance. The platform integrates directly but seamlessly into the enterprise analytic stack, and existing analytics applications work as normal. The platform provides a way for the enterprise to translate its workloads into clusters of compute resources that meet its service level requirements.
