  • Publication number: 20250135582
Abstract: A system and method of creating molten metal droplets is disclosed. The system may be used for 3D printing. The system relies on a change in momentum of the droplet relative to the tip of the metal microwire to cause the droplet to separate from the tip of the metal microwire. The change in momentum can be created by using an oscillating printhead. In other embodiments, a mass strikes the printhead to cause the droplet to separate from the metal microwire. The metal microwire may be heated using a heat source, such as a laser, an induction coil or a plasma arc.

  • Publication number: 20250135082
Abstract: This disclosure teaches a system and method for monitoring an extracorporeal blood circuit of a patient and identifying a needle dislodgement. The method includes identifying a potential needle dislodgement event based on changes in pressure of the extracorporeal blood circuit, searching for a heart rate of a patient by analyzing an optical backscatter signal from an optical sensor attached to the extracorporeal blood circuit or by analyzing a pressure signal representative of the pressure in the extracorporeal blood circuit, and verifying the potential needle dislodgement event is a needle dislodgement based on the absence of the heart rate.

  • Publication number: 20250136314
Abstract: A system for evacuating and sealing containers filled with product, for example, food product, includes an enclosed, sealed housing wherein the pressure level and the atmospheric content can be controlled. A vacuum shroud is positioned in registry with a container entrance opening in the housing, the shroud connectible to a vacuum source and to a source of replaceable gas to replace the ambient air to be removed from the container. The shroud is advanceable to seal the container entrance opening and is retractable from the container entrance opening. A container transport system inserts the container through the housing entrance opening and into the shroud. Thereupon, a sealing system seals the housing from the ambient after the container has been inserted into the shroud. After the air in the container has been replaced with an inert gas and then the shroud retracted, a closure subsystem applies a cover to the evacuated container.

  • Publication number: 20250142220
Abstract: Techniques for using a sensor to perform laser signal decoding are disclosed. The sensor may be a global shutter sensor or a rolling shutter sensor. The sensor generates a first set of images while operating in a first mode. In response to detecting a laser signal in the first set of images, the sensor is caused to operate in a second mode. The laser signal includes an embedded frequency signal component and repeats at a periodic rate. While the sensor is operating in the second mode, the sensor generates a second set of images, which capture an entire period of the laser signal. From the second set of images, the embedded frequency signal component is determined. A decoding operation is performed using the embedded frequency signal component.
