Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for regenerating a meniscus. The devices comprise a layer of toughened naturally occurring extracellular matrix. The devices may, optionally, further comprise a biologic material to provide a framework for meniscus regeneration. The methods comprise the steps of removing a portion of a meniscus to provide a space, and inserting a device comprising a layer of toughened naturally occurring extracellular matrix into the space.

Abstract: Ultrasound imaging systems and methods are described that include a cableless front end having a UltraWideBand transceiver and a beamformer that transmit ultrasound data to a back end physically separated from the front end, with the back end having a UltraWideBand transceiver for receiving ultrasound data from the front end UltraWideBand transceiver via a peer-to-peer communication protocol. The back end unit can also receive and transmit commands to and from the front end unit to select an image mode and has a signal processor and scan converter that can convert ultrasound data into image data for display. An input device in the front end allows the operator to selectively display ultrasound data or patient data on an auxiliary worn display or the nearest local display.

Abstract: An implantable tissue repair device has a cover and tissue regeneration material. The cover includes a top panel and a bottom panel joined together along a leading edge. The tissue regeneration material is positioned between the top and bottom panels. The cover includes a continuous sheet of biocompatible material extending across the edge and into the top panel and bottom panel. The cover is thicker along the leading edge than at least a portion of the top panel and thicker than at least a portion of the bottom panel. At least a portion of one of the panels covering the tissue regeneration material is thicker than a portion of the other panel covering the tissue regeneration material. A method of making the device is also disclosed.

Abstract: A gas circuit with a pilot light system for ranges includes pilot tubes from a gas manifold to burner assemblies. Quick connect couplings are provided between the pilot tubes and manifold so that the pilot tube can be removed easily. Two or more tubes can be connected to a single coupling. A master shutoff interrupts flow to the cooktop without interrupting flow to the oven.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a clip for attaching an object to a sheet having an aperture spaced apart from a leading edge of the sheet. The clip includes a base with a generally planar lower member, the lower member having a leading edge and a trailing edge. The base also has a generally planar upper member extending across the lower member, the upper member also having a leading edge, a trailing edge and an opening between the upper member leading edge and trailing edge. The trailing edge of the upper member is attached to and extends from the base proximate the trailing edge of the lower member. The upper member also includes a spring located proximate to the trailing edge of the upper member and extending into the opening in a generally leading edge direction. The finger spring is operable to apply a force in a generally leading edge direction onto a sheet edge of a sheet inserted and located between the lower member and the upper member.

Abstract: For dynamically adjusting a color code corresponding to a task performed by an input/output (I/O) port, a retasking request for the I/O port is received. The retasking request may be generated in response to detecting a plugging in of a multimedia device into the I/O port. The retasking request includes switching the task from a first task to a second task. In response to the retasking request the task performed by the I/O port is automatically reconfigured from the first task to the second task. The color code is automatically changed from a first color code corresponding to the first task to a second color code corresponding to the second task in response to the reconfiguring, without user intervention.

Abstract: A control method and system is disclosed for regulating speed of an engine in a hybrid electric vehicle powertrain that includes an electric motor and gearing. An electrical power flow path and a mechanical power flow path are established. Electrical power is coordinated with mechanical power to effect an arbitrated engine speed for a given power demand that will result in an acceptable powertrain efficiency.

Abstract: A mounting bracket for an automotive console of an automotive vehicle having at least one sidewall which extends upwardly from the floor of a vehicle. The mounting bracket includes a base adapted for connection to the floor of the vehicle. A central leg extends upwardly from the base and has a top attached to its upper end. The top includes a portion which lies in a substantially horizontal plane and is adapted for connection to the console. In addition, a side flange is attached to and extends outwardly from the top and abuts against the console sidewall to provide additional lateral support. Abstract: Systems and methods for validating integrity of an executable file are described. In one aspect, multiple partial image hashes are generated, the combination of which represent a digest of an entire executable file. Subsequent to loading the executable file on a computing device, a request to page a portion of the executable file into memory for execution is intercepted. Responsive to intercepting the request, and prior to paging the portion into memory for execution, a validation hash of the portion is computed. The validation hash is compared to a partial hash of the multiple partial image hashes to determine code integrity of the portion. The partial hash represents a same code segment as the portion.
