  • Publication number: 20240169663
Abstract: When performing tile-based rendering a first, pre-pass operation in which primitives in a sequence of primitives for a tile are processed to determine visibility information for the sequence of primitives, the visibility information being usable to determine whether or not fragments for a primitive in the sequence of primitives should subsequently be processed further for the render output, is performed. Thereafter a second, main pass operation is performed in which the further processing of fragments for primitives that were processed during the first, pre-pass operation is controlled based on the determined visibility information for the sequence of primitives, such that for fragments for which the visibility information indicates that the fragments should not be processed further for the render output some or all of the processing during the second, main pass is omitted. The visibility information indicates which primitives should be rendered for which sampling positions of the render output.

  • Publication number: 20240168354
Abstract: A method of controlling tint of a tintable window to account for occupant comfort in a room of a building. The tintable window is between the interior and exterior of the building. The method predicts a tint level for the tintable window at a future time based on a penetration depth of direct sunlight through the tintable window into the room at the future time and space type in the room. The method also provides instructions over a network to transition tint of the tintable window to the tint level.

  • Publication number: 20240168001
Abstract: Multiple subterranean probes at an area of land detect soil conditions and wirelessly transmit soil condition information to a service provider's backend server or to a technician's hand-held wireless device. The server provides multiple user interface screens of a customer application that display soil condition information and irrigation system status. Local micro weather stations may determine and wirelessly transmit weather condition information to the server. An energy emission detecting appliance may be used to acquire information usable to determine fluorescence of grass. The determined fluorescence may be used to train a learning model. The learning trained model may use historical soil condition and fluorescence information to determine a stress level corresponding to the grass. The stress level may be used to modify an irrigation or fertilization schedule.

  • Patent number: 11989182
Abstract: A data analysis system for measuring a materiality feature of interest is disclosed. The system includes a computing cluster ingesting content comprising a plurality of observables relevant to an entity, wherein each observable is related to at least one feature of interest. The system further includes an extraction engine running on the computing cluster and tagging the observables with an entity identifier in response to the observables referencing at least one of an entity, a tradename associated with the entity, or product associated with the entity. Additionally, the system includes an analysis engine running on the computing cluster and tagging an observable in response to the feature of interest being related to the observable. In one embedment, the analysis engine measures the materiality of the feature of interest to the entity by counting a number of observables from the plurality of observables tagged with the entity identifier.

  • Patent number: 11987982
Abstract: Rebar-based support assemblies that can be fabricated without the need for on-site welding. The assemblies include a number of differing sized and shaped crimps used in place of welds to provide rebar assembly-to-rebar assembly connections. Each crimp mechanically couples two or three pieces of rebar together, such as a border bar of one rebar assembly to a border bar of an adjacent rebar assembly. Each crimp includes a body with two or more arcuate recessed surfaces each for receiving a piece of rebar. In a first configuration of the crimp, a pair of spaced-apart arms (or extending members) extend from the body and define an opening through which the rebar is passed and set into the recessed surfaces. A deformation force is applied upon the two arms to deform the body into a second configuration with the arms in abutting contact or nearly so at an outer tip or end.

  • Patent number: 11989685
Abstract: Various embodiments improve existing technologies by generating one or more user interface elements based at least in part on consumer demand of an item in various geographical regions. Such consumer demand can be computed in response to receiving an indication that a user needs to place an item in an inventory center. Some embodiments can use one or more machine learning models or other statistical models to predict consumer demand to select the particular inventory center. Some embodiments can additionally or alternatively rank each inventory center or recommend an inventory center based on the consumer demand and/or other factors, such as cost. All of this functionality not only improves upon the functionality of existing technologies, but improves the user experience and computing resource consumption relative to other technologies.
