  • Publication number: 20200370744
Abstract: A water resistant lighting device is provided. The water resistant lighting device comprises an external lens, a light source, and at least one reflective surface. The water resistant lighting device also comprises a water-resistant material filling at least some of the space between the light source and the external lens, as well as filling at least some of the space between the reflective surface and the external lens. This water-resistant material may be a relatively soft gel, softer than an LED that may provide the light source, as well as softer than the LED circuit board. This water-resistant soft gel may protect the LED and the LED circuit board from water leakage. • Patent number: 10151823
Abstract: A method for localizing for GPS denied environments is provided with a plurality of broadcasting transmitters and a software-defined radio (SDR). A pre-processing stage and a query phase is executed for localizing an unknown location. The results from the preprocessing stage are made available to the query stage. A simulated power spectrum is computed for a region of interest during the pre-processing phase via the plurality of broadcasting transmitters. A transmitter location, a radius of influence, and a power contour plot of each of the plurality of broadcasting transmitters are used for computing the simulated power spectrum. Next, a peak-finding process, a filtering process, and a localization process is executed during the query phase in order to identify the unknown location.

  • Patent number: 9934301
Abstract: Methods and systems for efficient file replication are provided. In some embodiments, one or more coarse signatures for blocks in a base file are compared with those coarse signatures for blocks of a revised file, until a match is found. A fine signature is then generated for the matching block, of the revised file and compared to a fine signature of the base file. Thus, fine signatures are not computed unless a coarse signature match has been found, thereby minimizing unneeded time-consuming fine signature calculations. Methods are also provided for determining whether to initiate a delta file generation algorithm, or whether to utilize a more efficient replication method, based upon system and/or file parameters. In accordance with additional embodiments, the lengths of valid data on physical blocks are obtained from physical block mappings for the files, and these lengths and mappings are utilized for delta file generation, to minimize unnecessary signature computations.

  • Publication number: 20170193192
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for assessing compatibility between forms of medication in a clinical setting. Generally, a medical order for a patient is received, which specifies a task with an initial form of a medical agent to be administered to the patient. When a clinician attempts to administer the medical agent to the patient, a current form of the medical agent is received from a scanning device, for example. As such, it may be determined whether the current form is compatible with the initial form. When it is determined that the current form is not compatible with the initial form, an error may be generated and issued in an effort to prevent administration of the current form to the patient.

The memory arrays and a first set of logic circuits associated with the periphery logic circuits corresponding to the memory arrays are connected to the power supply by way of memory I/O switches. The redundant memory arrays and associated redundant periphery logic circuits are connected to the power supply by way of redundant I/O switches. The memory and redundant I/O switches are switched on/off based on an acknowledgement signal generated during a built-in-self-test (BIST) operation of the memory device.

  • Publication number: 20140345117
Abstract: A lead frame for assembling a semiconductor device has a die pad surrounded by lead fingers. Each of the lead fingers has a proximal end close to but spaced from an edge of the die pad and a distal end farther from the die pad. A semiconductor die is attached to a surface of the die pad. The die has die bonding pads on its upper surface that are electrically connected to the proximal ends of the lead fingers with bond wires. An encapsulation material covers the bond wires, semiconductor die and the proximal ends of the lead fingers. Prior to assembly, hot spots of the die are determined and the lead fingers closest to the hot spots are selected to project closer to the die than the other lead fingers. These longer lead fingers assist in dissipating the heat at the die hot spot.
