  • Patent number: 11195163
Abstract: A soft card provisioning application is instantiated on a device with wireless communications capabilities. A card number for a soft card desired to be provisioned on the device is obtained from a user of the device. An issuer identification number retrieved from the card number is communicated to a provisioning configuration server over an air interface. A provisioning issuer server network address is obtained from the provisioning configuration server based on the issuer identification number. Card issuer specific challenges are presented to the user, and the user's responses to the challenges are received. The challenge responses are communicated to the provisioning issuer server. Soft card image data and personalization data, where the personalization data includes personalized embossed and pre-printed data, are received from the provisioning issuer server over the air interface. The soft card is provisioned for use on the device based on the data received over the air interface.

  • Patent number: 11175691
Abstract: A method for optimizing power of a ranging sequence includes counting at least one cycle of a first clock during a Crystal Oscillator (XO)-mode to generate a first cycle count. A second clock is activated at an end of the XO-mode. The first cycle count is converted into a fractional correction value by multiplying the first cycle count by a ratio of a second period of the second clock divided by a first period of the first clock. A first alignment of the first clock to the second clock is determined at a beginning of the XO-mode. A second alignment of the first clock to the second clock is determined at the end of the XO-mode. An adjusted cycle count is determined by summating the fractional correction value with a summation of the first alignment and the second alignment divided by the first period.

  • Patent number: 11119872
Abstract: A computer-readable medium comprises instructions which, upon execution by a node in a multi-node data processing system, enable the node to serve as a first leader node by receiving system log data from multiple compute nodes in a first cluster of the multi-node data processing system, and by saving the system log data in shared storage that is also used by second and third leader nodes to save system log data for compute nodes in second and third clusters of the multi-node data processing system. The instructions further enable the node to respond to failure of either of the second and third leader nodes by automatically assuming system logging duties for the compute nodes in the cluster that was associated with the failed leader node. The instructions may also enable the node to serve as a console bridge and to save console log data in the shared storage.
