  • Publication number: 20250106150
Abstract: A system facilitates communication between branches of an SD-WAN and a service chain element. A hub node receives a data packet of a flow from a source branch over a VPN segment to be transmitted to a destination branch, extracts flow information from the data packet including VPN segment information to be stored in a flow table before transmitting the data packet to the service chain element over a service chain VPN. Upon return of the data packet from the service chain element, the hub node uses packet tuple information to retrieve the flow information with VPN segment information from the flow table. The hub node can then forward the data packet to the destination branch over the VPN segment. The hub node can generate and store an Auto Service Chaining Key that connects bidirectional flows so that the hub node can apply service-chaining to bidirectional traffic.

  • Patent number: 12261870
Abstract: A device receives network segment information identifying network segments associated with a network, and receives endpoint host session information identifying sessions associated with endpoint hosts communicating with the network. The device generates, based on the network segment information and the endpoint host session information, a data structure that includes information associating the network segments with the sessions associated with the endpoint hosts. The device updates the data structure based on changes in the sessions associated with the endpoint hosts and based on changes in locations of the endpoint hosts within the network segments, and identifies, based on the data structure, a particular endpoint host, of the endpoint hosts, that changed locations within the network segments. The device determines a threat policy action to enforce for the particular endpoint host, and causes the threat policy action to be enforced, by the network, for the particular endpoint host.

  • Patent number: 12260927
Abstract: A processor coupled to a NAND memory device comprising an n by m array of dies having n channels performs error recovery message scheduling and read error recovery on the dies by receiving indications of read errors responsive to attempted execution of a read command on a destination die and creates an error recovery message or instruction in response to the indication. The processor determines the destination die of the error recovery message and sends the error recovery message to a die queue based on the determined destination die. The n×m die queues can each be further divided into p priority queues, and error recovery messages are sent to the appropriate die priority queue based on a priority associated with the error recovery message. The processor fetches error recovery messages from a head of each die priority queue and performs read error recovery at the destination die.

  • Patent number: 12261318
Abstract: Techniques for battery retention are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, a thin polyurethane strap is used to hold a battery in place. The strap only requires a small amount of volume, allowing for a higher volume (and higher capacity) for the battery. In order to accommodate swelling, a computing device that has a battery held in place with such a strap can have an open area above the battery. The strap may have ridges to contact the battery and the component above the battery beyond the open area. If the battery swells, the ridges may be pressed down, accommodating the swelling battery.
