Abstract: Systems, devices, computer-implemented methods, and/or computer program products that can facilitate optimized control of an electric motor of an electric vehicle using a smartcell battery system are addressed. In an example, the system uses a central controller that wirelessly communicates with local controllers connected to clusters of battery cells configured to generate a three-phase current output to control the motor torque. The central controller and the local controllers perform a main control loop to control the three-phase current output with an update frequency of about 1 kHz. A local control loop with an update frequency of about 10 kHz is further implemented by the local controllers within the main control loop to detect and minimize disturbances in the motor operation using estimated local control information.

Abstract: A system receives a service request sent from a computing device of a user, which identifies a service to be provided. The system then identifies potential locations based on the service request and historical data. These locations are assessed based on predetermined criteria, including an amount of successful and unsuccessful service requests at each location according to the historical data. After a location is chosen, the user's acceptance is obtained. Upon receiving this acceptance, the system generates and sends navigation instructions from the provider's current position to the selected location to a second computing device associated with the provider.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for configurable and event driven smart hybrid cloud orchestrators. Various embodiments include a first computing device that can receive a request that includes various configurations to perform one or more actions. The first computing device can generate machine-readable instructions to perform a first action. The first computing device can send a first event to an event hub that includes the machine-readable instructions. The second computing device can receive the first event from the event hub and provision computing resources. The second computing device can then modify the machine-readable instructions based on the computing resources and then execute the machine-readable instructions. The second computing device can send a second event indicating that the first action has completed. The first computing device can receive the second event from the event hub.

Abstract: Credentials management and usage in application modernization can be implemented as computer-readable methods, media and systems. A notification identifying an application modernization operation is received. The operation is to be performed on an application deployed by multiple resources arranged in multiple hierarchical levels. A resource residing at a hierarchical level of the multiple hierarchical levels is identified. The application modernization operation is to be performed on the identified resource which has a resource type. A search for a credential is performed. The credential grants access to the resource to enable performing the application modernization operation. In response to the searching, a credential included in the multiple credentials is identified. The identified credential grants access either to the resource or to resources of the resource type. In response to receiving the notification, the identified credential is provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for transmitting signals through long delay lines are discussed. In some embodiments, a delay line may include: (i) a first delay element comprising: a first input terminal, a first output terminal, and a first reset terminal; and (ii) a second delay element comprising: a second input terminal coupled to the first output terminal, and a second output terminal coupled to the first reset terminal. In other embodiments, a method may include coupling an input terminal of a delay element to an output terminal of a preceding delay element, and coupling an output terminal of the delay element to a reset terminal of the preceding delay element.

Abstract: A multi-cluster database management system includes a first cluster in a database management system of a virtual computing system, a second cluster in the database management system, a server on the first cluster, a first agent on the first cluster, and a second agent on the second cluster. The server provides a database management service to a first database stored on the first cluster via the first agent and to a second database stored on the second cluster via the second agent.

Abstract: A memory built in self test (MBIST) controller of an MBIST circuit outputs first data. One or more errors is injected in the first data to produce second data. The second data is stored in the memory block. The memory block outputs the second data stored in the memory block. The MBIST controller receives the second data and detects an error in the second data based on a comparison with the first data, the error indicative of a failure of the MBIST. The MBIST controller provides an indication of failure of the MBIST to a processing core external to the MBIST circuit which performs diagnostic action in response to receiving the indication of failure of the MBIST. The processing core validates implementation of the diagnostic action.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a Raman spectral signature for detection of plant metabolites, specifically carotenoids, in tissue of a plant leaf. Carotenoids are used as a biomarker for an early, real-time diagnosis of shade avoidance syndrome (SAS) in growing plants in a non-invasive or non-destructive way in order to detect the adverse effect of the SAS upon their health, and ultimately their yield. The early, real-time diagnosis of SAS provides a window period within which further adverse effects of SAS may be slowed or prevented without negatively affecting the yield of growing plants or leafy vegetables.

Abstract: There is disclosed buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) for use in a method of treatment of cancer, HIV or a rheumatic disease. The method comprises administering (a) BSO at a dosage of less than or equal to 50 mg/kg, and (b) a metallodrug at a clinically-acceptable dosage.

Abstract: Support for a product may be provided using an interactive chat interface. The interface may provide recommendations for actions the user may take to address the issue. A support assistant tree may be used in providing information to the user via the user interface. The user interface may include options selectable by the user to traverse the support assistant tree. For example, a server may initially record the state of the user as being at the root node of the support assistant tree. Each child node of the root node may be associated with an answer to a question or an option. When the user selects the associated answer or option, the server provides information related to the corresponding node and updates the recorded state of the user to be the corresponding node. The process may be repeated until a leaf node is reached.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for garbage collection for object-based storage systems. A first set of objects stored by an object storage service that have been accessed within a previously defined date range is identified. Then, a second set of objects stored by the object storage service is identified based at least in part on a relationship to one or more objects in the first set of objects. Next, a third set of objects stored by the object storage service that have been created prior to a predefined date is identified. Then, a subset of objects which are members of the third set of objects and not members of the first set of objects or the second set of objects is identified. Finally, a retention action is performed on individual members of the subset of objects based at least in part on a retention policy.

Abstract: Provided is a method and/or system that facilitates offline sharing and verifying digital identity claims among NFC enabled portable smart devices that are enabled by enabling applications. The enabled portable smart-devices store, verify and share identity, peer to peer and offline. Each identity claim is digitally signed by an identity issuing authority, and the claim can be verified to reliably detect tampering of the claim and thus brings trust in the process of claim sharing and verifying the identity/credentials embodied in the claim. Either Blockchain or non-blockchain, as the backend system of the method/system, can be used, via an inter-operable middleware layer, for onboarding claim holders, claim verifiers, and claim issuers, and for creating/issuing, for managing digital identity claims. NFC, as the communication protocol, facilitates secure data sharing among the NFC-enabled devices.

Abstract: A sustained-release pharmaceutical composition for localized treatment of periodontal disease (PD) comprises a suspension of microparticles. The microparticles comprise an epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor (EGFRI), such as gefitinib, with a stabilizing sugar encapsulated in a shell comprising a plurality of polymers. The suspension may be introduced into a periodontal pocket and the EGFRI may be slowly released over a period of 350 hours or more. Methods for treating PD include administering dose units of the suspension directly into periodontal pockets of a patient. If necessary, administration may be repeated on a schedule of approximately 3 months. In an example formulation the polymers included cellulose acetate butyrate, poly lactic-co-glycolic acid and ethyl cellulose.

Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for autonomous orchestration of secrets renewal and distribution. A secrets management service (“SMS”) can be utilized to store, renew and distribute secrets in a distributed computing environment. The secrets are initially deployed, after which, SMS can automatically renew the secrets according to a specified rollover policy, and polling agents can fetch updates from SMS. In various embodiments, SMS can autonomously rollover client certificates for authentication of users who access a security critical service, autonomously rollover storage account keys, track delivery of updated secrets to secrets recipients, deliver secrets using a secure blob, and/or facilitate autonomous rollover using secrets staging. In some embodiments, a service is pinned to the path where the service's secrets are stored. In this manner, secrets can be automatically renewed without any manual orchestration and/or the need to redeploy services.

Abstract: A system for generating graphical relationship maps is disclosed. The system may receive a search request. The system may generate a relationship map data based on linked data elements of at least one of a structured data set, an unstructured data set, and a hybrid data set comprising structured and unstructured data. The system may display a graphical relationship map including an entity type icon based on the relationship map data and the search request.

Abstract: A method for computerized aircraft fault isolation includes, at a computing device, receiving a current maintenance-related pattern that includes a set of one or more digital maintenance messages reported during a flight of an aircraft. The current maintenance-related pattern is compared to a digital maintenance records database that includes a plurality of historical maintenance-related patterns observed during prior aircraft flights, each associated with an indication of one or more aircraft parts that, when replaced, resolved an underlying fault corresponding to the historical maintenance-related pattern. Based on an adaptive similarity threshold, a selected set of historical maintenance-related patterns are computer-identified as corresponding to the current maintenance-related pattern. A selected aircraft part associated with the selected set of historical maintenance-related patterns is computer-identified as a candidate for replacement on the aircraft to address the current maintenance-related pattern.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for preventing data loss at ephemeral and/or volatile storage of a local storage system are provided. These techniques may include synchronizing that state of the ephemeral storage system to a cloud-based storage system and capturing a cloud snapshot of the cloud-based storage system. In the event of a failure at the volatile storage, the cloud-based snapshot can be used as a restore point for the cloud-based storage system, the state of which can then be synchronized back to the volatile storage. Additionally, the local storage system includes durable storage for storing transaction logs. After synchronizing the state of the cloud-based storage system to the volatile storage, the local storage system can playback transactions in the transaction log to restore the volatile segment to the state at the time of the failure.

Abstract: A software developer can use a local browser, running on a local machine of the developer in a first location to access a real device (e.g., a smart phone) at a second location, such as a datacenter. The developer can select and control the remote device, in the second location. A mirrored display of the remote device can be generated on the local machine by transmitting a video feed of the screen of the remote device to the local machine. The developer can interact with the mirrored display, and the interactions can be transmitted to the remote device. The developer can activate an accessibility mode via the local machine to test accessibility features of a program.

Abstract: A congestion prediction machine learning model is trained to generate, prior to placement, a prediction value indicative of a congestion level likely to result from placement and routing of a netlist based on features of the netlist. In response to the prediction value indicating the congestion level is greater than a threshold, a design tool determines an implementation-flow action and performs the implementation-flow action to generate implementation data that is suitable for making an integrated circuit.

Abstract: A highly available database system includes a first instance of a database server on a first cluster of a virtual computing system, a second instance of the database server on a second cluster of the virtual computing system, a first instance of an administration database on the first cluster, and a second instance of the administration database on the second cluster. The first instance of the database server and the second instance of the database server form a highly available database server, the first instance of the administration database and the second instance of the administration database form a highly available administration database, and the first instance of the database server, the second instance of the database server, the first instance of the administration database, and the second instance of the administration database are configured to manage at least one customer database.
