    Abstract: Processing a circuit design includes stabilizing the circuit design by a design tool that performs one or more iterations of implementation, optimization assessment, optimization, and stability assessment until a threshold stability level is achieved. The design tool determines, in response to satisfaction of the threshold stability level, different strategies based on features of the circuit design and likelihood that use of the strategies would improve timing. Each strategy includes parameter settings for the design tool. The design tool executes multiple implementation flows using different sets of strategies to generate alternative implementations. One implementation of the alternative implementations nearest to satisfying a timing requirement is selected.

    Abstract: An in vitro method for detecting presence of cancer includes obtaining a single hair sample. An x-ray beam is emitted from a source towards the hair sample. A small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) intensity profile is generated after the x-ray beam hits the hair sample. The SAXS profile is received on a detector to obtain SAXS data, which is desmeared and Kratky Analysis is performed. A relative estimation of peak area under 1.38 nm?1 to 0.89 nm?1 from keratin and lipid content in the hair sample is performed to obtain R and is corrected by dividing by D, thickness of the hair. R? is computed using formula: 10×R2/(D?R). The value of R? is compared with clinically validated samples. If R? value is below 0.7, it indicates the presence of cancer and if it is above 0.8, it indicates absence of cancer.

A networked system accesses trip data associated with the POI. The networked system processes the trip data to generate at least two time buckets based on timestamps from the trip data associated with the POI, and calculates trip counts associated with the POI for each of the time buckets. Using a machine learning algorithm and based on the at least two time buckets, the networked system determines that the trip counts show a decline over time that indicates that the POI is likely closed. In response to the determining, the networked system updates a database to indicate the POI is closed.

    Abstract: Sum of bid quantities (across price bands) placed by generators in energy markets have been observed to be either constant OR varying over a few finite values. Several researches have used simulated data to investigate desired aspect. However, these approaches have not been accurate in prediction. Embodiments of the present disclosure identified two sets of generators which needed specialized methods for regression (i) generators whose total bid quantity (TBQ) was constant (ii) generators whose total bid quantity varied over a few finite values only. In first category, present disclosure used a softmax output based ANN regressor to capture constant total bid quantity nature of targets and a loss function while training to capture error most meaningfully. For second category, system predicts total bid quantity (TBQ) of a generator and then predicts to allocate TBQ predicted across the various price bands which is accomplished by the softmax regression for constant TBQs.

    Abstract: A method for scoring a cloud SaaS application to rate the level of cloud security provided by that application. The application URLs are crawled iteratively for data corresponding to a set of predetermined features using keyword strings. The features are determined to be those which are indicative of effective cloud security. The crawled data corresponding to features are stored in text files. The data are used for training and supervised machine learning algorithm to determine the probability score that a feature is present for that application. The feature scores are numerically combined to arrive at an overall cloud confidence index score (CCI) for that application. Every SaaS application is rated with a score between 1 and 100, depending on whether the selected features are present or not. The CCI score provides an easy way to determine the level of cloud security provided the application. It also provides a way to compare different SaaS applications as to their effectiveness in providing cloud security.
