  • Publication number: 20190075155
Abstract: In representative embodiments, multiple cloud computing infrastructures, each having its own application and management fabric, coexist with in the same cloud computing infrastructure. This results in a cloud computing infrastructure where multiple management fabrics and application fabrics coexist to offer their own services and cross platform services. Each functions independently and also communicates with each other to offer high availability and disaster recovery. One application and management infrastructure is a host to the other application and management infrastructure. The hosted infrastructure accesses underlying fabrics through the host infrastructure. A resultant system comprises a common hardware fabric, a common runtime, and a service fabric comprising services from both the host and hosted infrastructures.

  • Publication number: 20190065640
Abstract: A hydrocarbon field including thief zones can be modeled based on production history data and supplemental data constraining a thief-zone distribution across the field. In various embodiments, a numerical optimization approach involves creating a plurality of model thief-zone distributions with varying parameter values, parameterizing permeability maps obtained for the thief-zone distributions and aggregating across the thief-zone distributions to obtain distributions of coefficients associated with the parameterization, and then iteratively sampling the coefficient distributions, determining a permeability map of the model based on the selected coefficients, and measuring a deviation between the measured production history data and simulated production history data derived from the computational model until a match is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20180340787
Abstract: An authoritative candidate is selected for determining a location of a point of interest (POI). Source data including name, address, and location for POIs is received from multiple data sources. The received data is normalized for ease of comparison, and coordinates for each candidate are compared to coordinates of other candidates to determine which candidate if any is an authoritative location for the POI. The candidate locations are compared using two models a metric-based scoring system and a machine learning model that may utilize a gradient boosted decision tree. The authoritative candidate can be used to render digital maps that include the POI. In addition, the authoritative candidate's location can be used to provide vehicle route guidance to the POI.

  • Publication number: 20180341585
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a storage controller with write-back caching capabilities that may be used during scenarios where the storage controller is required to provide write-through caching, and thus unable to utilize internal cache memory for write-back caching. The storage controller utilizes an allocation of persistent memory that is made available by the host IHS (Information Handling System), to which the storage controller is coupled. In scenarios where the storage controller is required to provide write-through caching, the storage controller may be configured to route received write data to the allocated host memory. In this manner, the data integrity provided by write-through operations is maintained, while also providing the host IHS with the speed of write-back operations. When ready to store the write data, the storage controller may request the flushing of write data from the allocated host memory.

Abstract: Aspects of an electrical safety device that provides detection of miswiring of line and load connection pairs are presented. In an example, the device includes a differential current detector through which are routed a live current path and a neutral current path coupling the line and load connection pairs. The device also includes a selectable conducting path that, when selected, circumvents the differential current detector while coupling one of a line live connection to a load live connection or a line neutral connection to a load neutral connection of the connection pairs. The device further includes a control circuit that determines, via the differential current detector, while the conducting path is selected, a differential current defined by a difference in currents on the live and neutral current paths, and interrupts at least one of the live and neutral current paths in response to the differential current not exceeding a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10120656
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for the utilization of a robotic process automation system for functional evaluation and improvement of back end instructional constructs. The system may scan a set of code to identify an exception comprising an exception tag and an exception string located at a first location within the set of code. The system may then transmit the set of code and the identified exception to a robotic process automation system, along with instructions for the robotic process automation system to compare the exception tag and exception string to a replacement code database to identify an exception string. The robotic process automation system can then replace the exception string in the set of code with the identified replacement string.

  • Patent number: 10123360
Abstract: A system and method for secure wireless communication for transferring or sharing data between at least two devices over a wireless network. A set of pictures are displayed on a source device from which a picture is selected either manually by a user or automatically by the system. Information related to the selected picture is transmitted to a target device. A set of pictures are displayed on the target device. On the target device, a particular picture is selected either manually by a user of the target device or automatically by the system, and further transmitted back to the source device. At the source device, the picture received from the target device is matched with the selected picture previously transmitted by the source device. Upon a successful match, the source device transmits an authentication confirmation for pairing the source device and the target device and enables data transfer.
